Use a computer or TV screen cleaning solution on the windshield and the cup then lick your finger and wet the cup. Also check for a lever that adds to the suction, if this lever is on your device and is in the wrong position, it will not stick. Also you should affix the unit to the window when the temps are at a median point, if you put it on when the car is 100 degrees it will fall off in colder weather, and vise versa for 0 degrees.

Did you run out of memory? Just it have an SDHC slot? If so install a 16GB card. Try again.

The screen shows an X when the navigation software on your TomTom is corrupted ... and it will not start (boot) up the device. Have you tried contacting TomTom Support, to have them walk you through this problem ? assuming you recently bought your TomTom and it is still on warranty.

do a google search for tomtom then connect it to your computer after installing tomtom home and it should automatically update, you will firstly need to set up an account with tomtom though. (free i think)

This message is usually shown (only) when your TomTom is connected to a computer (USB port). If your TomTom GPS is not connected to a computer when you switch it on, this message should not display. If this is not the case, try re-booting your GPS, by holding down the ON/OFF button (for a long while) until the GPS turns off, or by using the RESET (pin hole) ... and see if it fix the issue.

You will have to call customer support to get it fixed. They may even supply you with a new code to properly activate your device.
