Sounds to me like it's a software update failure. Try reloading the Software Update.

Try checking if the charger is still working. There should be a light on it if it's obtaining power from the lighter port. On some vehicles you need to switch on the car to power up the lighter port. If it's broken, buy a new charger.

Sounds to me like it's a software issue. Let me guess, it says "Unit needs to be restarted to improve performance" then it shuts down and restarts, and cycles again. SOLUTION: Try updating your software, it's free. call magellan tech support, they'll walk you through.

It is indicating that you need to connect it to your pc to reinstall the satnav program. You should have a cd that came with it use that to reinstall the software on your roadmate

Right you are. The search feature is only good for the saved or favorite locations. Features on all GPS unites are sadly limited.
There is a program called Street and Maps made by Microsoft what will allow you to search all. Also - you can if search google and then send it to your unit via blue tooth or USB.
