My kenmore 70 series dryer wont turn off
It appears your timer has failed in this instance. For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.I recommend both sites because ...FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs. If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell. In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
Kenmore 90 series gas dryer no heat
The gas ignitor most likley is not functioning. They do not have a pilot light like appliances in the oold days. They must ignite a new flame each use. if you don't smell gas when you try and use, then it is the ignitor and the computerized sensor tells the gas not to turn on because the initial flame has not been created.
Dryer will not heat after new element installed
You will need to re check your wiring. If you have a voltmeter make sure that the proper voltage is coming through the wires. If not then trace back to where you have voltage and you will find the part that is not working. You can hook direct to the element and make sure that you just didn't get a bad one.
The Kenmore 110.97281100 gas dryer
Followed the advice listed, and the dryer is working fine now.Symptom: Ran the ful cycle, but never got warm/hot. Problem: Thermocouple blew (20 years old and a "fair" amount of lint)I noticed that I never heard the burner cycling through it's normal operation. So I made the assumption that it was a fuse or something further up the line. I pulled the thermocouple, and my brother tested it with a meter. If it really did fail "open", then this was dead. The local parts store has a basket of the thermocouples on the parts counter. Replaced the part (1 screw, 2 spade connectors) and we are good to go....following the advice from the counter person, I also purchased a lint brush and was amazed at the amount of lint still in my "clean dryer" and exhaust vent.Works great now and should get a few more years out of it. (cleaning the lint and exhaust pipe is now on thelist of regular maintenance)
Kenmore gas dryer has heat, but very little...
what do you mean by a little heat?do you mean it will heat for the first 15 to 20 minutes and then no heat,if so you have bad gas coils, the coils will work normally until they heat up and then they fail, when they cool they will work again, also you could have a blocked vent line or the duct that the lint filter could be clogged with lint and has to be cleaned out.remove the vent line from the back of dryer,if it's long blow it out with a leaf blower, then remove the duct that the lint filter slides into and clean it out and vac out the cabinet that the motor is in,with a gas dryer you should do this once a year so your dryer runs good and you don't have a fire.hope this helps
