Kenmore HE3T Washer Questions & Answers
Have a Kenmore Elite HE3T washer. Put appropriate
I own a 18-year-old Kenmore front-load washer so I'm not sure this will apply, but here goes... My washer requires me to press and HOLD the start button for a few seconds before it will start. At that point the door will lock and the washer goes through its startup phase. I think that is a "safety feature' to keep from accidentally bumping the button and starting the washer. See if that help. Good luck!
Door closed properly but the machine won't start
Sometimes the sensor ion the door switch goes bad and causes this producible. I've had the issue, and unplugging the machine for a few seconds clears the error for me, but I suspect I will eventually have to replace the switch in the latch.
My machine keeps stopping mid cycle with an f11 error code, what does this mean?
The troubleshooting section of my manual gives a Generic fix for F codes other than F20,F21,F22 as "Select stop twice to cancel the cycle.Select DRAIN & SPIN if there is excess water in the washer. Re-select cycle and press START If problem remains, call for service."
Not much help! Try checking the inflow by removing the hose to see if there is any debris in the inlet (rust etc.) Also could be a balance issue. Rearrange load and restart the cycle.
Or it could also be a leveling issue. Use a level to see if it needs to be raised or lowered by turning one or more of the "feet" with a crescent wrench to level the unit.
Machine is locked
Try un plugging it from the wall for 5 minutes or so then plug it back in to see if it works.
HE3t leaves water in drum after the wash cycle is
Since we are working on the drain side of things only 2 things can happen to not get the water out of your tub-1 the pump isn't working, something stuck in it- 2 you have blockage which we know is not in the trap-check conection to the tub and the pump and all discharge hoses-cheers Denny
I have a portable Kenmore washer Model # 110.2070091, water is not draining out of clothes at the rinse cycle, Why?
This should take 30 minutes: Remove the panel that is located below the front door, there are 3 small screws located at the bottom that hold this... you will see the water pump, which has a access screw plug. Unscrew this, its like a filter, you may see stuff, like coins, socks, etc, remove and clean out, then put everything back... this should fix the issue.
F 02 flashing on control panel
F/02..Long Drain
If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.
NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
- Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
- Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
- Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
- If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.
Tripping GFCI
If the machine is tripping that outlet I would run a cord and try it on another outlet to see what happens. If it works fine then your outlet is going bad, If it trips the new outlet you're going to have a short somewhere in the machine, more than likely dealing with the motor and motor control board If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at
