LG WM2101HW 4.0 cu.ft. Washer Questions & Answers
Stopped spinning
Have the machine's rotor assembly and door latch checked out as these two are the most common causes for no spinning.
If the machine has been making a loud noise when it was still spinning, the tub bearing could be at fault.
Where is the hall sensor
A hall sensor is a magnetic pickup sensor that picks up magnetic pulses caused by a rotor that is bolted to the spinner shaft in back of unit. remove back access panel and motor rotor is facing you now. take bolt off of rotor and slide off. you should be able to see hall sensor under stator. remove bolts on stator to access hall sensor.
Motor no runnig
Is it the drum that is not moving? or actually the motor? Possibly it could be the belt from the motors rotor going around the drum , the one with the clothes inside it! that has fallen off or is broken?
Remove soap drawer lg wm2101hw
the sponge is probably making it's way to the bottom of the machine as we speak. disconnect the power, and lean it back wards. the sponge should be on the ground there. otherwise pulling it out from the wall and removing the back panel should reveal it's location.
Lg wm2101hw code le
Press "end of cycle" for 3 seconds or till the flashing goes off . Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of
several issues. The most common cause is over sudsing in the machine.
Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error
code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and
the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose
wire, see that all wires are tightened..........Click helped if helped.........
My LG WM2101HW front loader will not spin. It drains OK, but won't spin.
I would be leaning more in the direction of the door lock mechanism rather than the hall sensor as someone else posted. The hall sensor gives a very specific error code when it goes bad. Put the unit into a spin only cycle and verify that the door is locking. To do this power up the machine and only press spin speed and the start. It is also possible that it is a problem with any one of the three control boards that are on the unit but again, these normally present with very specific error codes. If the door is not locking, or even if it is but the switch isn't sending the signal back to the main control saying that it is locked then all it would do is drain and then spin 1/3 turns either way inside the tub until time runs out.
I HAVE A LG WM2101HW
Had the same problem and it was exactly as rbozzell said. The main black drain hose in the bottom developed a small hole.
LG washer getting an OE error. I have opened the
OE means your machine has failed to drain within 10 minutes. There are a few posibilities. Your drain hose could be kinked or clogged causing the machine not to drain. Try using a shop vac to remove the water from the end of the drain hose. If a shop vac won't **** out the water either, you have a clog somewhere ing the drain hose, of the hose from the tub to the pump. If it will drain the water you need a new pump. If there is no water in the machine then the problem is either the pressure switch, the hose going to the pressure switch, of the control board. The pressure switch is on the back by the control board. You will see a black rubber hose going attached to it. Remove it and see if you can blow through it. If you cant it is clogged somewhere. If it is not clogged then the most likely cause is your pressure switch and next the control board.
LG wm2101hw 4.0 cu.ft front load washer is leaking
same problem. LG stated I am using too much soap. Cant be because it still does it with no soap. Also have issues with spinning on bed comforter and also drum will not drain. I can wring out a 16oz of water from a cotton shirt sitting in the bottom of drum when completed. Floor is flooded and I am **********. Bought in April 2010 and have had 4 techs out to look at it, but there is no problem. Biggest waste of 600 I ever spent.
New LG2101 front loader drum noise
Try rotating the drum by hand and see if you can feel a 'hard spot' If your machine is new you should have a warranty. If so, ring the service line and ask a consultant about the noise. The may even be able to listen via the phone and advise you...Good luck .....Nomess
