Read through the information thoroughly and you should be able to determine the cause of your problem. I hope this helps you.
PS There should be a tech sheet located inside the washer that explains all the error codes and how to troubleshoot. It should be located either behind the bottom panel under the door, or along the interior cabinet wall somewhere.
Sounds like you need a new water valve (some debris inside the valve causing it to not fully close). These are availible from your local appliance parts store or on line from the manufacture. Once you have your replacement, just take the #20 torx screws out of the top panel and remove it. Your valve should be on the back left hand side.
With the article of clothing trapped inside the drain pump, it could have very easily damaged the pump impeller. This is an easy repair if you wish to pursue the option of repairing it yourself. This can save you a lot in additional labor charges. A replacement pump can be purchased from searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your COMPLETE model number and follow the different repair parts headings on the next page. I believe your part will be found under a heading for "Pump and Motor Parts. An entire replacement pump runs in the neighborhood of about $73 the last time I checked. This is still cheaper than paying a repairman. If you need instructions on how to replace, just click on the following link:
I hope you find this information helpful. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know.
PS The link above describes the symptoms as a pump that is not running. I should have worded this a little differently, because (as you can tell) there are cases where the pump runs, but still won't drain. Just wanted to clarify, so you aren't confused.
E20 not draining error. Since you checked filter at bottom right corner for blockages, then maybe the drain pump has gone faulty or something jammed in it. You can also check the drain hose for kinks or blockages. You can try blowing out any cloggs in the machine with an air compressor.
Please let me know if you need any further help, otherwise good luck on fixing your problem.
If this is an HE2 Plus washer "Sd" is a Suds lock error, which is an indication of an overload of detergent during the wash cycle. If you are not using HE detergent it is strongly recommended that you do. HE detergent is specially formulated for washing machines that only use about 5-7 gallons of water per wash load (like yours). If you use regular detergent you are, in affect, putting a concentration of detergent in your washer that is formulated for wash tubs that have a 35 gallon capacity. This creates excessive suds which creates air in the drain pump and lines, causing the "Sd" error to occur.
To clear the error, you need to run a RINSE/SPIN cycle, then run a Normal wash cycle with no detergent added. This should clear the problem. You may have to run the cycle a couple of times.
If the problem does not clear:
1. You need to check the drain hose to ensure it is not clogged or kinked. 2. Unplug the washer and check the wiring harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch and Central Control Unit (CCU). 3. Check and/or clean the drain pump of any foreign objects. 4. Plug washer back in and run a diagnostics test.
To enter diagnostics mode (Washer must be empty and the control must be OFF):
1. Close door. 2. Push POWER 3. Select RINSE/DRAIN & SPIN cycle 4. Push 2nd RINSE 4 times within 5 seconds. 5. Push 2nd RINSE again to advance to the next step of the test procedure. 6. Press STOP to end diagnostics.
If any fault is detected it will be displayed in the Estimated Time Remaining window.
NOTE: Most manufacturer now have a disclaimer explaining the proper use of detergents and the proper upkeep and care of the washer. The warranty can be null and void if it is discovered that you use the wrong detergent, or misuse the appliance. I'm not indicating you are doing so, just wanted to make you aware.
I hope this helps you. Please post back if you need further assistance.
remove feet set on stand and put the 4 screws in 2 in the front 2 in the back the remove the drawer and level the 4 legs on the stand then lock the lock nut if you git a little vibration raise the front washer up 1/8 in usely will take care of it
Some machines will not let you open the door if there is still water in the machine. Try syphoning the water out by removing the drain hose where it connects to the plumbing and letting it go lower than the machine. The water wll run out and you should then be able to open the door. If door still does not open, replace the door interlock.
If the washer does not come equipped with a "Clean" cycle, then run the washer on it's hottest setting. "Sanitary" or "Whitest Whites" will do. Hope this helps.
Not familiar with your model, re flow meter, but.....
If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Or If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.
Press "pause + cancel" twice to clear the display. If there is no water in the unit: 1. Make sure that both valves at the water source are turned on full. 2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or blocked screens in the inlet valves 3. Verify inlet valve operation if there is water in the unit: 4 Verify Drain pump operation 5. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly
connected to tub & pressure switch (which is below the
control unit) 6.Verify there is not a siphon problem 7 Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure
Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit
(CCU) Check all hoses for possible leaks Verify pressure switch operation
Rocky, the F13 has to do with the dispenser motor. It's unable to move to it's home position. You will need to remove the top by removing the 3 torx screws in back. Slide it off toward the back. Check the linkage from the dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser. Check the harness from the dispenser motor to the central control unit. Reseat if necessary. At the main board in back, third harness from the left is the dispenser switch/motor. Wires read 6-5-3-1 from left to right. Ohm out the switch, test points 6 to 5 should read 0 ohms. The motor 3 to 1 should read 1400 ohms. Catriver.
The SUDS fault indicator is caused by using too much detergent, or the wrong type of detergent. The Kenmore Elite front loaders were designed to use HE type detergent only. When the washers first came out, manufacturers originally made the claim that you could use regular detergent if you used less of it. The manufacturers later retracted that claim because there were a lot of problems with over-sudsing. If you are not using HE detergent, you need to be. In the mean time run your machine with no load with hot water to clear the drum and drain lines of any soap residue. You may have to do this a couple of times to clear the problem. I hope this helps.
Thats a simple one to replace. Unplug unit. Take a putty knife and release clips that secure console to top. They are located on each front corner of console. Raise lid. Unplug harness from switch. Take ground screw out that is part of switch assembly. Release plastic tab that holds switch in place and remove switch. Install and snap into place new switch with lid open. Put ground screw back in place and plug harness back into place. Lower lid and then raise and listen for clicking noise. Put console back in place. That’s it.
Question edited for clarity.
'then', a moment in time.
'than', a comparison between one thing and another.
It depends on the model, but usually related to the lid lock. Also check the breaker.
Why does my washer stop working after filling with water?
If the Top Load Washer stops after filling with water, be sure to check the house circuit breaker/fuse as well as the outlet and plug. Washers should be plugged into their own separate, dedicated outlet.
..
Usually it's the lid switch..When you open the lip look straight down usually..When you close the lid it inserts a small plastic piece that goes into the hole telling the washer the lids down..If it broke it will make the washer stop mid cycle..You can stick a wooden (only made of wood) into the hole and sometimes it will start to work..Then you know that's the problem and just get your model number of the washer and replace it..Hope this helps
