Go to my computer icon, right click manage, go to near the bottom look for disk manager, if u dont see ur CD drive then try connecting and disconnecting it. u can also try go to start> run. click run then in the text box type cmd then press ok. in command promp, type 'x:\' x is ur drive letter, so if ur drive letter is d type 'd:\', if nothing shows then there might be a problem but its unlikely that its a hardware issue.

make sure the the cpu temperature is sitting where its supposed to be you can check that in the bios setup under cpu

Most probably the drive has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
You could try a system restore back to when it worked, but if that doesn't help, replace the drive.

PCIe internal modem.Go to control panel,click it and goto network and Internet connections.You should see your connection listed.Right click it and left click "properties" .Under "general" you will see install- uninstall.Click "uninstall" and follow the prompts being sure to click apply and ok.Reboot,windows will reinstall the drivers and hopefully you'll have Internet again.
The USB ports can also be uninstalled and reinstalled.Right click "my computer" and "properties"then "hardware" then "device manager".USBs are at the bottom of the page.Expand by clicking on the + and all your USBs will show up.Look for ones with X's or yellow highlights.These are disabled,you can open them with a right click and uninstall.Now only mess with the ones that have been disabled or you could disable your keyboard or mouse.Then do the Reboot and windows will reinstall.You can really screw things up in Device manager so if you don't feel safe messing with it please have someone else do the fixing.These things are easily fixed with the drivers being reinstalled,
