if you have replaced it by a new one and you are confirmed that it is ok, then first check data cables and also update his firmware by latest one available on owner's website.

try this one:
if you are using windows XP
- click start
- click run, in the run type in regedit
you will see a registry editor window
in the registry editor window
- click the + sign at the hkey_local_machine
- click the + sign of system
- click the + sign of currentcontrolset
- click the + sign of control
there will be bunch of random letters and number under that control
try to find this one

if you click this check if you will be able to see DVD rom at the right side of the registry editor window
you must delete the upper and lower filters
after that restart the computer and try to put in dvds

LG hl-dt-st-dvdram gh22ns50 is not found but drivers installed...
This can be a problem with the driver of the DVD drive that you have, to correct this one lets try to uninstall and reinstall the device back to your computer, follow this steps: Right click Mycomputer icon > Properties > Hardware tab > Device manager > then look for the DVD drive there if you see it right click on the dvd drive and select uninstall then once its gone restart the computer to automatically reinstall the device back and then try to burn using that drive again....
Is there a No Region code for an LG G22n dvd
To change the Region code on your player, open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, and click on DVD/CD ROM drives, then right click on the DVD drive and click Properties then click on DVD Region.
You can enter a new region and it also shows you how many changes have been made.
NOTE you can make only 4 changes and the player will lock permanently on the 4th change.
If you want to play DVD from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software that allows you to play DVDs from any region. There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free

Lg super multi securdisc driver
Optical drives (at least all modern one's) do not require a driver when run in a Windows environment. The OS provides the support automatically. Is the drive shown/listed in My Computer?
