Need a manual coby dvd765 theater system

I run into this problem quite a bit. According to the Coby web site, there is no 765. The closest thing to it is the 755. Coby DVD 755 Manuals Support and Troubleshooting Home Theater Systems When you go to sites like this, dont click on the giant "DOWNLOAD" buttons as they are always advertisements. My Retrevo My Manuals This is a direct link to the manual so you dont have to click a dozen links till you hit the right one. Good luck.

I have the coby 765, when i switch the buton to tv it is very loud even with the tv and dvd player turned completely down

Unfortunately the subwoofer should have a volume control knob, and the subwoofer for the DVD765 does not have this, that is why it is so loud, the only work around is to get an audio cable with a built in volume control knob.

Can't get cable sound to run through surround sound

You would have to have a cable box, from the cable box, you would hook up the yellow to your tv, and then the red/white audio would go to the subwoofer on your DVD765 where it is labeled (TV), you then hit the switch on the subwoofer to TV. Another option is if your TV has audio output, you could just run RED/WHITE audio from your tv to the back of the subwoofer where it is labeled (TV).

Can't control TV volume after installing Coby

Unfortunately that is how this unit is designed, you cannot adjust the volume while inputting from an external source, normally the subwoofer would have an AUDIO control, but this one has no knobs, the VOL +/ VOL- on DVD remote only controls while watching a DVD. Only work around for this is if your TV has a 3.5MM headphone jack, you can get a 3.5mm to RCA cable and then your television would be able to control the volume.

My center speaker is humming

If you center speaker is humming, you when you turn on your TV, you may have the audio signal over amplified and the hum may be coming from your TV itself. Try moving the speaker further away from the TV or the amp further from the TV and see if it solves the problem.
