I have ricoh sp c820dn printer here is message say turn power off then set the pcu correctly .cyan
it looks like the Cyan Unit is not set correctly, so you need to open the front door, in the area behind the front door up you will see the toner bottles under the bottles it has a cream-white plate, you will see in the middle of the plate one handle - leveler which is blocked with a plastic piece, which have a ***** in the middle remove the ***** than remove the plastic piece, after that pull the handle - leveler up to be set from horizontal position into 45 degrees angle upwards. After that in the upper right corner of the plate you will see another handle- leveler. This one you need to set from horizontal position into vertical position upwards. After you move the both leveler, you will need to pull the hole cream-white plate toward you. Inside you will see 4 boxes (PCU's) with green levelers. Put inside firmly the cyan box (PCU) under the Cyan box, below the box writes on a sticker Cyan.. After you do this close back the creame-white plate, put the both levelers into horizontal position and close the the front door. If the problem persist than is not just a small fix...That is for now, if the problem continues please ask more guestions. Good Luck. :)

Replace the PCU.
Add black toner but still empty
Is it a genuine Ricoh Toner or a equivalent refill, if it is the latter then my machine would say empty when actually full. Just keep on using the machine, and have another toner on stand by.
If its a genuine Ricoh toner suggest the machine needs a clean around where the built in (toner) chip is located.

This error is a fuser error .
The fuser is not set properly,remove the fuser and set in properly if the problem persists, fix in a brand new fuser.,
If the error appears again then call an expert to check on it for you.

Cover open reset
Verify the cover actuators and switches,cover reset don t exist.
I have a light purple
This could be a dirty laser window, there is a blue stick once you've opened the door to the machine, put this in the hole just below each of the developer units and it should pick up any excess toner and solve your problem.Hope this helps
