Vivitar ViviCam X327 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Theres no sound on my vivitar camera how do i get sound?
Hi,
The reason you get no sound on playback of videos is that this camera has no Microphone. This is one of the most disappointing features of the camera as whilst it has video capability it has no ability to record Audio.
Vivitar have omitted this feature on several models to keep costs down and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it in terms of adding audio.
If you have a video editing program on your computer you may be able to add a voice over or a soundtrack to the video by using this method but no original audio can be recorded.
Hope this clarifies the issue. Thanks for using FixYa.

Do you really want the Vivitar software? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa (

How to add a sountrack using video editing?
You can use ArcSoft ShowBiz which I have tried recently. Their new version ShowBiz 5 is great to add and edit multiple tracks including audio and video ones. You simply drag a music file to the interface and it is added to sound track auto, you drag the edges and the track is cut or spreaded. It's really cool.
