My WD-65c9 boots to welcome screen then shuts down with a flashing red LED.

42 is an error code for faulty "Lamp Sirocco Fan" part no. 299P321010. You have to replaced it with new one. I've saw it at shopjimmy.com ( http://www.shopjimmy.com/mitsubishi-299p321010-fan.htm )

All I get is a blue welcome screen on my Mitsu

Hi Mike,May I know if the LED light at the front panel has a pattern of flashes or flashing continuously in green color. Please check if you can access the "Self diagnostic screen" by following the steps below.- To activate, press the front panel "Activity" and "Channel down" buttons at the same time and hold for 5 secs. The Status led will then flash a two digit code. Example, if the error code is "23" the led light flashes 2 times(blink, blink) pause and then flash 3 times(blink, blink, blink). Let me know the error code, it will help to diagnose where the fault came from.Note : the TV must be in shutdown not switched off, or AC power cord is removed because the code will reset to "12" means no error. Use the front panel buttons not on the remote control. If you can't access the self diagnostic, press and hold the "Activity" button on the front panel for 5 secs before entering the "self diagnostic" code.Kind Regards,Mjsazon

How can i fix a lost signal problem, i've replaced the lamp but the problem still persist, what should i do?

HelloThe lamp ballast board should be faulty. This is a common problem with most of the DLP TVs. But before replace it, it hould be checked properly and if there is any chance to repair it, get it repaired. If found irreparable, replace the board. To check this board you should have its schematic diagram to follow and to find the faulty component. If you want anymore assistance from me, come over me by Fixya, by buying any one Mitsubishi TV service, which as been advertised with FixYa. I can't send any PDF files by this window as this window does not allow me to upload PDF files by it. When you buy my service, Fixya will provide a link between us to communicate each other.Picture of the suspected board is given here for your reference.11_17_2011_5_30_48_am.jpg

1. Remove the air intake filters on your DLP projector. As explained by InFocus, a manufacturer of LCD and DLP projectors, each DLP model will house the air filters in a different location. However, for most DLP projector products, the filters are accessible by unclipping a simple plastic latch.

2. Wipe the air filters with a small cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol.

3. Blow compressed air into the unit's vents. This will force some internal dust out of the DLP projector, but you may still need to open up the unit for additional dust removal.

4. Unsnap the main cover from your DLP projector. Because DLP projectors need periodic lamp replacement, the main cover is rarely secured with screws or bolts. However, if the DLP projector's cover does not snap off, then you'll want to inspect the unit for possible screws or an alternate release latch.

5. Reach in and remove visible dust globs with a paper towel. Be careful to avoid touching the lens, as fingerprint smudges can diminish DLP projector image quality. If you accidentally smudge the lens while picking out dust blobs, wipe the lens with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth.

6. Spray compressed air into your DLP projector to remove any lingering dust particles.

7. Close up the projector and reattach the filters.

My tv blinks 6x red and 1x yellow. whats that mean?

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. https://homenol.blogspot.com/ https://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If blinks continue without any pause, or the LED light stationery; the main board is faulty. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; [Exclude the model number], in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts. See the site by a desktop. Mobile view has no search box. If you are viewing it by your mobile, see it in webview/

How to replace the main board on a mitsubishi WD-60C8

Basing the replacement of the board on the clicking sound of a relay trying to close is not a safe bet. The first thing you need to do is check the bulb. Then there is a ballast board and then the Power supply board. Parts might be hard to find. Use the website I listed to see what part numbers are then google it or look on eba or amazon for those parts. Mitsubishi WD 60C8 TV Parts
