Mitsubishi WD-82837 82 in. HDTV DLP TV - Page 5 Questions & Answers
The model is WD-52627, the screen flickered and then turned a light green and lavender. We still see the tv show
Hi Jenell
Looks like you might have lost one of your primary colours. RGB
A section of the internal electronics controls Red Green Blue.
Check for loose plugged in cables on back. Antenna or Cable
Try inputing a signal from another external video device like a hard drive.
Try a couple of hard slaps on the back to see if it changes.
If it does then you may simply have an internal bad connector or loose wire.
Make sure the air holes around the unit are clean to allow cooling air to flow.
Other than that, you will need a technician to open it up.
Cheers
Why is my picture color distored color?????????
Your color is distorted because your color wheel is probably going bad. Try resetting all the picture values first. Sometimes they need to go back to normal when the lamp is changed. Lamps only provide white light and have no bearing on colors unless they are very dim. Also check your cables. a loose or bad cable can cause this as well. Lastly make sure your new lamp is made by Osram or Philips. knock offs wont work.
Whats the error code 42?
I think this is a DLP tv and has a special fan deep inside the works. I think, not sure, but you can google around to find more information that error code 42 is that fan having failed or disconnected somehow.
I have a constant blinking green light
It usually means big trouble. But first turn the set off, unplug the power cord for a couple of hours and then try again.
If still blinking, count the number of blinks and google for Mitsubishi blinking code. You can look for specific information and troubleshooting with the model number found on the back of the set.
