I got toshiba nb205 as i get error A PROBLEM WITH

hmmm, you could try booting into bios (hitting del key at bootup) and see what the internal temp readings are. Laptops have tricky cooling schemes that usually rely on one fan and heat pipes. If I were you I would backup my data and take it to a qualified laptop repair shop.

How can i boost my wi-fi

You can buy a 'repeater'. A repeater is a net device that can pick up your wifi signal from one wifi, and using another channel (your computer or other device can automatically change channels) it will also send the same connection without wires. Basically, these are like cell towers in that you can move from one to another seamlessly, if they're built to do so. Some cheaper models will require you to chose the one you want. The other option is to use the etherport, and run another wireless router by pulling a cable to the part of the house or buisness where you need the signal. Now, that's the easiest way. However, if your wifi uses an antenna, sometimes, if you can find one, you can get a better antenna, something that is directional, or partly directional, this can at times double or triple your distance. However, unless the antenna has an amplifier, it will merely have the same signal, it will just confine the directions it travels, and this boosts the signal. Most normal antennas transmit 360°, but you can get them with any angle spread, and it will help, even down to 15°, which is a very narrow but strong signal. Add an amplifier, and you increase the output signal. Hope this helps.

How to get to toshiba nb205 bios

Hold down the Esc key and press and hold the power button until the on/off light on the system indicator panel illuminates (green) for approximately one second. When the following message appears on the screen: "Check system, Then press [F1] key," press F1. The System Setup screen appears. If that doesn't work, try powering on the laptop and when the Toshiba splash screen comes up, hit F2 or F12. One of these methods will get you in to the BIOS setup.

Computer won't boot stuck in Error RecoveryScreen won't go any further

You should be able to do a clean install of Windows. Just insert the installation disc and press any key when indicated. Optical drive needs to be the first boot option. Go into BIOS and change it is not. As for disc, you have to use the same Windows version as indicated on the MS Product Key sticker, because of the serial number.

Toshiba satellite c655d-5332 keys problem

Examine your keyboard to ensure your "Number Lock" key is not activated.

This activation is indicated by the key being lit up.

If the key is activated, press it to deactivate the lock.

The number lock key will deactivate an entire segment of your keyboard

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor.

In the registry, open the below folders.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.1 = Disable Num Lock.2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

Toshiba netbook205 will not boot up

When you plug in the power cord is there any lightswhatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter of thepower cord? When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous. Most times the problemis with the memory or Video Card. Count the Blinking Lights or Beeps and takenote of their pattern (1 Long or 1 Long followed by 2 Short).Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.Maybe your DC Power Jack which is where the power cord plugsinto the computer is bad. Take an ink pen and push the tip inside thejack and see if the little pin wiggles, if so the jack is bad. You'll have totake the laptop apart to fix it. Most times it is soldered onto themotherboard, so you will have to desolder the old and solder a new one.Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.Remove the Power Cord, Remove the Battery, Remove the cover that houses the memory on the bottom of the laptop then remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

NB205 has HDD password. How

- Seems like a BIOS password issue. You need to reset the BIOS and in order to do that you need to take out the CMOS/Lithium battery out for about 5 seconds and put it back in. - Make sure you are static free and the laptop should be turned off completely, battery and power cord unplugged before opening the bottom panel.- Locate the CMOS battery. Most of the time it is located under the memory modules or hard drive depending on the brand and model of the laptop. - If the CMOS battery is soldered to the motherboard and you don't have experience with soldering, i suggest you bring the laptop to someone who knows how to. - If you do not want to remove the CMOS battery, what you can try is short circuit the jumper settings. Click here for tips on how to locate jumper settings. Hope this helps.
