Sony Walkman NWZ-E344 Digital Media Player Questions & Answers
I have an AA file that I downloaded from
The "AA" file type is not supported in the NWZ MP3 players. However, you are still able to place audiobooks onto your player if you convert the file to one of the supported file audio formats: MP3. WMA, AAC-LC, and PCM. Remember that there are several iterations of MP3, such as variable bit rate and frequency range and the player does not play some of them.
What I do is that I pull the file into Audacity and convert it there. Another option is that if you can burn the audiobook onto a CD, you can then rip to WMP and then sync it to your player. That is how I get my language audiobooks onto my player. The last option, which I have never tried, is to get it into ITunes, then sync it to your player that way. ITunes will automatically convert the file before syncing it onto the player.
Hope that helps.
Video playback
This means that you may have used a file format that the device does not support. Try looking on the Sony website on the specs to see what kind of file types it takes. Then try again with the proper formats.

Cannot play videos
Use Sony's content transfer to transfer the video. In the settings, select the automatic conversion of the video when you drag an drop it using content transfer. This worked for me with Windows 7 and an upgraded device firmware to version 1.0.1. Both Sony's Content Transfer 1.3 and firmware version 1.0.1 can be found on Sony's website.

These units are very popular for having install errors, volume problems, recording issues etc. You need to install its driver to get it recognized by system, did you get a cd or mini cd with it?If the unit was accidently dropped, the volume will be affected without you even knowing it. I've seen these broken in parts and put back together with lots of solder work. I recommend getting a fresh set of batteries, checking the data transfer cord, power cable for any errors, and understand the at times, the volume will increase but no decrease and vise versa. This has a lot to do with wear and tear on the buttons and again, accidently dropping the unit.
Replacement power supply for Sony Digital Media Player Model NWZ-E344
All you need to know is how poerful your computer is, that is find out how much power the equipment installed is using, then you can replace the power supply with one that meets the computer needs.Make sure of the type of power supply connector you have Atx etc.You can go with any brand, so as long as it's the correct connector type, and it has enough power to run your system.Things to note is the manufacturer of your graphic card, and the processor type, as they have different power requirements, graphic cards are usually the most demanding.
