I think you might have to look at the settings of the device. It might not be of a format that will work with windows. You might have to format the device before it will be detected by Windows.
My Coby MP826 wont turn on.
Hmmm...Hmmm...CHARGE IT!! CHECK THE BATTERY (if removable) What did you do to it? Please do tell. I'm quite interested.
My coby m826 8gb did
If you can acess the Removable disk,inside of it is a file called launcher.exe that installs the coby corporation program from which you can add music,movies etc
If you can't acess the disk try to change the port where you connect it.
Sometimes when you connect the device to computer it doesn't
fill into data storage mode because it's turned on,you must turn it off and possibly change the usb port (ports located into mobo).

Try this easy way of deleting the files you do not want.

BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

Resetting the Player
Reset the player if it should freeze and not respond or
otherwise malfunction.
1. Disconnect your player if it is connected to a
computer.
2. Use a paper clip to gently press the Reset button located
on the bottom of the player.

Reset the player >

Try connecting the player to another usb port on the computer to see if it is recognized ,or try
using another USB cable.
