Kodak Easyshare M580 Digital Camera - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Why is camera stuck on "set date and time"?
You need to say which model number you have. Usually you use the center toggle to move the cursor to a choice, then press it in to make the choice. The camera should work whether you choose a date or ignore the message.

Cant read any sd card
If you have an old Kodak camera, (produced before 20070 where you used to have a memory card with less then 1 Gbyte, it could be you now try to use a SDHC card and your camera can't handle that.
The first 2 and 4 Gbyte SD cards were also SD, but now no firm is producing any SD memory card above 1 Gbyte. Even the 2 Gb now are only SDHC.

Do you really want the Kodak software when there're better alternatives available for free?
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).

I own a KODAK eadyshare c182 purple. It was a gift from my son, Dececember 2013. I went on a trip in January, no problem. Now I'm planning another trip. The camera doesn't work. I know it was purchased at Wal-mart in Louisiana. I reside in Texas and went to see if it could be exchanged. But, the policy is no receipt or a 15 day after purchase. It was a gift. Help me!!!

All photos suddenly too dark, even using flash.
If you are sure you are in automatic mode, the green camera logo on the top dial, your pictures have to be correct.
The exposure compensation should not be available in automatic, so that can't be the reason. (if you are in automatic)
The only thing you could look for, is the exposure metering. There you can chose 3 modes, and I do advise to chose Multi-pattern (should be default) because then not only the centre is measured.
If the pictures stay too dark, while in automatic and Multi-pattern, i think your camera is defect. It has nothing to do with the battery. If the battery voltage drops beneath a certain point the camera will stop completely and not work half.

Did you install Kodak Picture Easy Software already?
To transfer pictures from your camera to the computer, you need this software (and the driver that comes with it)
If you done't have the software, try to get it with Kodak, or use an external memory card reader, to transfer the pictures from the memory card to the computer. That must work.
Internal memory full displayed on my camera
You can either delete some pictures from memory or, on most Kodak cameras, insert a memory card.
