Jeremy, you will either find it on the back of the unit. It will have a screw off plastic cap on the connection. OR when you remove the water bucket, you will see it inside that cavity, that the bucket is insert into. In both cases, it will look like a garden hose connection. The hose you attach, should not be longer than 5 feet. It relies entirely on gravity to drain.
Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Sue, if you haven't noticed any water draining from the hose recently, it may be that the hose connection and tubing of the unit are clogged and the drained water pressure is causing the unit to show "Bucket Full." Also, if the bucket is not properly in place, whether you use the drain hose or not, it will cause the unit to stop functioning. You know how to correct that, so I won't go into detail on that issue.
To unclog the drain, you will need an 18" long, plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO wire coat hangers though) that will fit into the hose connection. TURN THE UNIT OFF AND UNPLUG IT. Then carefully insert the Zip Tie and continue to push it in until you reach the bend in the tubing. You will have to carefully work it past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Now, while rotating it, slowly pull it out and be prepared for some water to follow.
Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

If you're not getting any indicator lights, check the receptacle that it's plugged into. Is their power to it? If not, the circuit breaker in your home's circuit breaker panel may have been tripped. Or the outlet itself may be faulty (loose wire, poor connection, etc). If the indicator lights are working, but the compressor is not, turn the Master ON/OFF switch on the unit to OFF and wait 10 minutes before plugging it back in. This will give the electronics time to reset themselves.
Hopefully, the above will solve you problem.

Hi,It is not dangerous, but it also is not working...the sound is the compressor trying to start and not getting started... so the machine is basically toast... would cost more to fix then it is worth...
There can be many reasons why a dehumidifier will
not work or collect water.
Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong
with their dehumidifier

Try resetting the GFI breaker, assuming it is connected to one. Also check the main breaker panel to make sure the breaker is not tripped. Unfortunately the electronic panels do go bad in these systems after a few years of service. Try resetting the unit. There should be a tiny reset button on the back. Also if the bucket is full it will not turn on, make sure it is in place and seated properly or it will not turn on. There may be a reset on the cord itself as well, hope this helps.
