Dehumidifier running but no water
If you brief description of the problem is correct, you need to turn the humidity/moisture extraction percentage down to 35% and check and clean the air intake filter. Maintain a minimum of one foot air space clearance around the entire dehumidifier and be sure that all exterior doors and windows are closed. DO NOT attempt to remove and clean the filter with the unit ON and plugged in to the wall outlet.
Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Plug it in turn it
Hi, Mindy! The following is an overall review of what causes the problem you listed.
If the room air is less than the set air, then there is no water in the
bucket, because there is almost no humidity in the air. If it is winter,
there is likely not enough humidity in the air to have water collect in
the bucket.
A dehumidifier will only pick up humidity out of warm air. If you are
running a dehumidifier in your basement in the winter, the room may be
damp, but too cold for the dehumidifier to pull out the humidity.
Try running the unit in the bathroom after having a hot shower without
the bathroom fan on. If working correctly the unit should draw water. In addition, if you set the humidity level you want to maintain higher the actual humidity level in the house or room, it won't pickup and collect any moisture. The fans on most of the dehumidifiers on the market today run almost constantly. They do this, so that the room air is always moving and if humidity is detected, it will extract it.
Hope this helps you understand how dehumidifiers function and what you can expect from them under given circumstances,. In fact, there may not be anything mechanically wrong with yours. But, to make sure, do what is suggested above to test the unit.

Need a repair shop in
It's cold outside. If the temperature is too low, the cold coils will just frost up and you won't get much water 'pulled'.
Check to see if the cold coils actually are getting cold when the unit is running and the control is set to cause the compressor to work-not just the fan.
If the coils are cold and full of frost or ice, the room is too cold for the dehumidifier to work. You'll have to raise the temperature of the room or wait for warmer weather.
If the coils never get cold, the compressor might be bad or the unit might have lost its freon.
I wonder, though, if it's just too cool and dry right now for a dehumidifier to be pulling more moisture out of the air.
Hope this helps!

Haier dehumidifier Series DM30EJ-T
The dehumidifier
Hello
On some models you need to remove the hose adaptor from the back of the dehumidifier before sliding in the collection bucket.
Also check the legs or stands it sits on are not blocking the collection bucket.

My haier dehumidifier continually runs
Even thought this a problem with just one relay included on the control panel which is stuck to the on position, the solution is to replace the whole control panel.

My Haier dehumidifier is really
Hi,
With the unit unplugged, open the cover and check the alignment of the
fan. If the fan is stuck or rubbing against the fan cowling, adjust the
fan motor's mounting hardware so that the fan turns freely.
Take care.

Wont run. E2 on screen. about three years old
Hello,
First, make sure the reservoir is empty. If you plug the unit in and
see a green power light, but the unit won't run, make sure the
reservoir is properly inserted.
Many dehumidifiers have switches or
sensors to make sure that the reservoir is placed so that it won't
leak. Look for these sensors and make sure the reservoir is engaging
them.
If your dehumidifier has a float or switch to indicate a full
reservoir, make sure this switch isn't being tripped accidentally.
I hope this helps.
Take care.

Dehumidifier is running but not
Hi,
If you have a dehumidifier that is not producing anywater then you are wondering what you need to do to get this thing to work for you. In some cases you may be able to do something and in other situations there may be nothing that you can do.
If you do not hear the compressor running and the unit says that the humidity in the room is higher then the setting, then you have a problem with your dehumidifier.
A few things that can cause this are:
The circuit board relay has gone bad…replacement of this board will often cost more then a new unit. This also is a very common problem with many dehumidification units.
The compressor has failed…if you hear a buzz for a few seconds, every few minutes, then you have a bad compressor or at least bad start components on the compressor. Either way it again is a costly repair.
If the compressor is running and the coils are not getting cold then you have a refrigeration system leak. Recharging or fixing these units is very difficult and is another costly venture compared to the price of a new dehumidifier.
If the compressor is running but the fan is not, this also will cause low water production and continual freezing of the coil.
If the compressor and the fan are running but the coil is totally blocked then you will get no water production. Air needs to be continually moved over the cold coil to get the water out of the air.
If nothing is running, then you may also have a control board failure. Or the humidity sensor or humidistat has gone bad which tells the machine to run. If the sensor says that the humidity is low enough then it will never run.
Also if nothing is running check the float switch or the bucket switch. Many of these switches are very touchy and if you do not have the bucket in place just exactly right it will not trip the switch to allow the unit to run. These switches often are more fragile then they should be and break easily. The good thing is that when available they are easy to replace and relatively inexpensive.
There are some parts available for a few brands, but with the prices for most of the parts that you can replace running anywhere from 40.00 – 80.00 dollars, replacement parts with labor to install them, makes a repair more then the few hundred dollar cost of many of these dehumidifiers.
As you can see there are quite a few things that can cause your dehumidifier not to work. Systematically go through the list and eliminate things to get to the bottom of the issue causing your problem and then decide if it is worth spending the money to try to fix the old unit. Only you can make that decision.

Breaker blows when dehumidifier tries to kick on?
One of the major faults with dehumidifiers is damage and electrical ''tracking'' caused by the dampness they are constantly exposed to. Isolate the supply completely ! from the unit then carefully inspect all electrical parts for corrosion and ''blow'' marks.
Check motor for shorts to earth as this occurs on old elec motor windings.
Also inspect carefully the control contactor / relays that switch motor and fans.
