If the alarm chirps every 60 seconds and the red LED flashes with "Lb" this indicates Low Battery.....replace battery as soon as possible!

likely the batteries are getting low, or you may need to replace it, otherwise i hope you dont have a poison gas in your home

Here is what you can do:
1. Change the battery.
2. Ensure the unit is clean.
3. If you have multiple units, try swapping the location.

If all that does not help, you need to service/repair it.

It is time to replace it. From the instructions. IMPORTANT: Seven (7) years after the initial power up, this alarm will "beep" every 30 seconds to indicate that it is time to replace the alarm. Replace the alarm immediately! Unless the number was displayed in alternation with 888, leave the house and call 911. You need to have someone to check your appliances for incomplete burning, leaks in their exhaust piping or a vehicle that is running inside or too close to an air intake.
