Nikon camera battery keeps losing charge
If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.
When I transfer photos to computer I get a message
Try this1. Do not save any new file to memory card.2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.001-software.com/picture-recovery/4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.
Nikon coolpix S3000 problem
Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.
Images are not fetched from camera
Forget the fetching from the camera...pros never use that method because of problems such as you are experiencing. Instead, use a card reader to download the pics from the card to a folder you create on the desktop. Once there, you can send them to any program you like.
