Download the KPDL drivers and after they are installed go to the printer properties, then device settings and select how many paper feeders you have "in addition" do the 1st tray. So if you have two trays just pick "one" for that option. Then you will be able to scroll back up and choose what paper type it is.Lastly, set your Printing Preferences in the properties if you want to specify a specific tray/cassette to print from or just let the printer auto select.

Try 6482 or MITA as password
Try leaving password box blank

Try entering the IP address in the web browser and configure there. The firmware will have to flashed if this doesn't work.

Kyocera is pretty picky about resets. You might have to phone them.

1800-GET-MITA

It meens that your printer has passed a certain timer count and needs a Mantenance Kit installed, in othe words "a good tune up" because it reached the recommended millage for it...

1. Remove the paper cassette and the paper transfer unit. (Draw the paper transfer unit while pressing the buttons in)

2. Remove the developer unit.

CAUTIONS When if installing or removing the developer, do not let the magnet roller touch any part in the printer.

A. Open the top cover.

C. Remove the toner container.

D. Disconnect the developer connector.

E. Remove the developer from the printer while sliding the developer lock lever frontwards.

F. Gently flip down the magnet roller protective cover.

NOTE After removing the developer, seal it in the protective bag and place it on a flat surface. Do not place the developer in a dusty area.

3. Remove the waste toner bottle.

4. Remove the drum unit while pressing the drum lock.

Hi,

You can use an aspirator to clean the printer inside, also clean the blade inside the cartridge with isopropyl alcohol, and the drum too.

However this problem can be caused by a number of different issues. If it occurs when you copy, check the scanning glass to see if there is any dust/gunk on the scanner glass. Also if you machine has a document feeder than you need to check the glass that the paper feeds past.If it occurs when you print than you probably need to clean your printer. Check your manual for exact details on how to clean your printer but in general it could be on a paper feed roller or it may be on the drum.

no it is not..the printing speed is conditioned by the communication and the sheet ..font size..and such ...if it is appearing to be slower the fault is the communication ..but anyway look in the menu and see modes..some have a express mode for fast printing ..

on the menu buttons on the machine..change the paper exit to go out the back.. if this solves the problem.. you might be looking into replacing exit rollers or fuser
