Kyocera 3820n doesn't work right on my macbook OS X 10.5

if you have a mac os x operating system... you already have drivers built into your mac printer menu... try installing the generic print driver and see if that helps... sometimes it works better than the manufacturer's driver... Hi, lost password and want to

you might out of luck because they company wont give out the procedure or they might charge you $50.00 for procedure. Below is the what I found on the web for different model but the procedure is the same (the printer server card is different either 1x or 2x, but you only have one for each printer)

Turn off, unplug.

2) Remove the IB-2X card. Mine is secured with two thumb screws. Just give it a tug and it comes out.

3) Locate the jumper. Remove it, rotate 90%, and install on SW2.

4) Reinstall IB-2X.

5) Plug in and power up, wait for READY.

6) Turn off, unplug.

7) Remove the IB-2X card.

8) Remove jumper, rotate 90%, and reinstall in previous position.

9) Reinstall IB-2X.

10) Unplug the network cable.

11) Plug in and power up, wait for READY.

12) Admin password is now blank. TCP/IP settings: DHCP is on, subnet mask is 000.000.000.000, default gateway is 000.000.000.000, IP address is 000.000.000.000. Change settings to desired.

13) Reconnect network cable.
They also have something call ResetLan tool, but it costs you.
Try above step at your own risk. Thank you

Not printing a whole page

Have you tried taking the toner out and shaking it? It could be that it is running out of toner. It also could be something to do with the rollers inside.

When I go to print

The waste toner box is located on the right hand side of the printer. There is a door/cover that opens up on the right side. It is a milky white plastic container. Check to make sure it is there and installed properly and the door is fully closed. If all that is correct it my be full.

There should be a new waste toner container in the toner box (along with a toner). The toner and waste toner are normally replaced at the same time.

If you don't have a new waste toner container you can tray emptying the one that is in the printer BUT be very careful. The toner is a fine powder and can get all over if spilled. If you ever spill toner never use water or any other liquid to try and clean it, that will just turn it to a liquid ink.Brush it off your cloths and vacuum it up.

If you do try and empty the container and the machine continues to tell you it needs to be replaced it can be because there is still toner on the inside of the toner container and the sensor is seeing it there.

I hope this is helpful,
Shawn

Error code 7001:0014607

Kyocera Mita FS-3820N

Hello, This error code (7001) refers to a Toner motor error.

• Toner motor is overloaded. TNMOC is detected by sampling every other

100 ms in 2 seconds since the main and toner motors are activated following

the Replace toner Clean printer, message after the "Toner low" is detected.

Recommended action is to change the toner pack.

If this does not resolve the issue then the developer should be changed.

If neither of those resolve the issue, then likely the internal circuit board called the engine controller may be bad.

If this is the case the printer will need to go to an Kyocera Repair Depot.

I hope this has been of assistance.
