Open front door and you will see the black toner cartridge on upper portion of it you will see color blue lever pull it up then pull out the empty toner cartridge then insert the new toner.

(1) Stop/clear, (2) start, (3) exposure lighter, (4) exposure darker, release the 4 buttons and press the stop/clear button again. the display should now indicate 000. below the display are 3 buttons... press the left button once, the middle button 6 times, and the button on the right 3 times. the display should now indicate 163.... press the start button 3 times. your machine will now restart, and if the code was as a result of a power problem, should now work fine. if not the problem could be related to the fixing unit, power supply, or one of the boards. Also do not tamper with any settings while in the service mode, this WILL have undesired effects. TAKE NOTE, this will only work if your model is the KM-1500

The optimizing performace may be because of the temperature in the room.Clean out all filters in the machine.Do not reset the drum light unless you do change the drum as the copy quality may degrade.

IF SOME KEYS NOT WORKING THAT MEAN YOU HAVE TO BLOW THE KEYS FIRST . MAY BE SOME KEYS ARE STUCK . IF THAT DOES NOT WORK I AM AFRAIED YOU HAVE TO OPEN THE KEYS PANNEL MAYBE ONE PRESS ELEMENT OR MORE ARE DAMEGED.IF SO YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT.

Hi You need to check that the paper detection sensor just close to the rollers is still there , you might have blown it out of place or worse broke it , that's the only sensor that detects the paper

You can try resetting the fuser error code by performing the procedure below: On the copier type - 10871087 (may have to be in the job status menu first) Once in MA mode type in - 163 Start Execute Start You should then either cycle the power or the machine will cycle for you. If this does not work you will need a new cleaning lamp for your fusing unit.

If you go to kmaconnect and read, there is a fix for that problem.

The cleaning lamp (which is in the drum unit) is defective. Replace the drum unit.

First you have to check the counters to see how many pages were printed or copyed. It may be a problem with some of the color drum units. At this model you need to change the units near to 100.000 A4 prints with 5% coverage. If the coverage is greater, then you'll need to change them sooner. There might be another cause for the sound, like the Transfer Belt Unit. This unit has a "waste toner path" that might be jamed. The unit is not able to get rid of this waste toner and some gears produce that noise. The transfer belt unit is working separatly for black prints and color print. You will have to remove the Transfer Belt Unit and clean the toner path with a vaccum cleaner.

You will need to replace the cleaning lamp for the drum unit or replace the engine board
