I had the same problem with mine (same model) purchased Oct. 2010. I also have a Sharp 52 LCD. I was using an HDMI Splitter purchased from Monoprice to slave the Toshiba to the HD output of Dish's VIP722 receiver, because the 722 outputs only one HD video signal and on a separate RG6 connector outputs standard definition for a second display. Well, as the bedroom TV is usually tuned to the same channel as the family room TV, I decided slaving the VIP722 HD output was a better solution than paying Dish a monthly fee for a second receiver. To shorten this story; the problem seemed to be caused by the HDMI splitter. I purchase a higher price splitter from Comp USA and when I connected it the problem disappeared. I hope this helps you.
