could be 1 of 2 problems. could be simple as a bad diode, or could be a bad magnetron. the microwave tends to make a humming sound while heating if its the diode. If the microwave sounds normal but just not heating then the magnetron is bad and needs to be replaced.

Depending how big the crack is, any water in the crack will finish it off. A new glass tray is $57. A new Microwave the same is $319.
