Hi all, we have a KitchenAid 575 W Professional

Hiya, Sadly, there is a 95% chance that only the control board has been blown, not the motor. I have added a link below for you to purchase a new control board if you wish: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BQBMXTS?m=A1ED43LCC8H7O8&sr=zl-21&tag=zl-21

I have a KP26M1XPm pro series 6 qt 575 watt stand

I would be inclined to replace the broken/worn gear and only any other bearings/bushes that show wear, which is probably none. I would remove any contaminated grease (it usually remains close to the failure point) and add more grease if necessary. The gear is a fuse gear and designed weaker to fail if the machine is overloaded so the gear that runs on it is unlikely to be damaged.

Kitchenaid 600 pro

After many years dealing with Kitchen Aid mixers I purchased a pro 600 for my wife as an early Xmas gift. After just a few usages it started making a clunking noise in the gear housing. I removed the housing and discovered the casting is of very poor tolerances and the main drive assembly was lifting from the torque of the motor and causing the gear assembly to lift out of the casting and skipping on the worm gear. I am sure it is going to happen to many more of these units as the casting area that holds the bearing in is to large obviously an overdue mold in the casting process. Time for a recall Kitchen Aid.

Proline 600

This is a fairly easy fix but you need a new planetary, some new grease a new gasket and about an hour. The planetary for your machine is a recent design, that did not work. the planetary and the shaft has been milled with grooves and they are pressed together at the factory. The tolerance was deemed to be tight enough to keep the shaft and the planetary together during the life of the machine....but sadly this became a common problem. They have since fixed the problem in the new design. They went back to pins and retaining clips from pre 2006. Your fix is inexpensive and ther are several videos on the internet showing you step by step how to do it yourself. Hope this helps.

The planetary plate fell off. How do I get it back on

Not familiar with that model, does it have a pin through the planetary that has vanished? If so it will be in the last cake mixture.

Leaking oil

To remove the planetary you knock the silver pin out with a punch. There is no 'oil' as such in the machine. Sure it is oil but it is breaking down out of the grease. It is harmless and food grade so nothing to worry about. The grease should not have got to the point it needs replacing until it is about 5 years old. I would remove the planetary and wipe the shaft clean and any excess inside the planetary remembering that you do need to leave some lubrication on the gear teeth in there.

Grinding Sound

It could be a different gear that is stripped in the mixer. There is also the chance that the gear that was sent you was damaged before it was put in, we do see chipped gears come from KitchenAid every once in a while. The best thing to do would be to take apart the mixer, clean the grease off the gears, and carefully inspect each one for chips or gouges in the gears.

The motor head on my kitchenaid 600 is loose.

Two. One easy one not so much. There are three screws underneath the motor on your mixer. any one of these screws coming loos will cause the moter compartment to vibrate and move about, easy fix remove motor and retightem. Really is an easy fix 15 mins. second solution; one of the motor mount screw positions have broken and the motor head is no longer fully attached to your support tower and it will have to be replace which means a full tear down and a new part ordered and installed. look at the bottom of the motor head where the power cord goes into the mixer and look for cracks in the metal. Let us know what you find. We can direct you to the proper sites for parts list and parts.

KA 600 is making a clinking noise when mixing.

Tll,It sounds like it could be an issue with the gear, the motor housing could have a crack in it. The problem could be much more involved as well. Put the unit on the slowest speed and see if you can stop the mixer from spinning. If it hiccups or stutters, that means you have a stripped gear. If you cannot stop the unit using your hand ON THE SLOWEST speed then there could be a problem with the motor housing or the motor itself not being held in place properly.

Hi I have a Kitchen aid 600 mixer that is making a clicking/knocking noise

Perhaps there's info on this product -free PDF- at http://www.manualowl.com. Give it a try and see if there's anything listed in Index of manual for Troubleshooting. If not, try a letter to manufacturer. Don't get emotional - just state facts. Start letter how much you love their product and dissatisfied with item's performance, especially NOW that warranty has just expired. Ask if there is a possibility, please, that they can replace product if you pay postage. Get actual cost in WRITING should they agree so no surprises later. Good luck! Jimmy

The rotating head on the mixer keeps falling off.

The Planetary plate comes attached to the shaft from the factory. It is not supposed to get
loose and come apart but it often does due to the mixer's vibrations and the user's constant
attaching and removals of the flat beater, wire whip or dough hook onto the beater shaft.
Try to remove the Planetary plate first : Gently rock it from side to side while pulling on it
to separate from the shaft. Notice the groves on both the shaft and inside the planetary
housing. That is how they are attached to one another at the factory (just friction, no screws
or pins). Now for a permanent solution:
Take a trip to Home Depot or Ace hardware and buy the J-B Industro Weld Compound
(Not the 5 minute type). Mix an equal amount from both tubes (Black and Red). Use a Q-Tip
and apply a thin layer of the mixture on both the shaft (grooved section) and inside the
planetary housing. Now re-attach the planetary plate to the shaft. Use a long strip of duct tape
to hold the plate in place (to prevent it from falling back out). Allow the epoxy to dry overnight
or at least for 8 hours.
The Planetary assembly is now permanently attached to the shaft of the mixer.
