I need to calibrate the
Remove the front motor cover. Inside is a copy of the tech sheet. The procedure is outlined there.
These machines do not do an electronic calibration, it is a mechanical one. You must adjust the motor controller for max speed by following the procedure outlined.
If the speed readings are incorrect, you may be set for Kilometers rather than Miles. It's easy to determine. 3MPH=4.8KM...
Follow the procedure in your owners manual to change from metric to miles..
Treadmill turns on fine. After
Sounds like static electricity... Or a bad connection...
Check all connectors under the hood, make sure they are secure, no burnt or melted connectors.
Purchase an outlet tester ($10) and check to be sure the outlet is wired correctly with a ground..
The deck/belt may require lubrication to decrease the amount of static electricity..
I have a pro-form 680
The walk belt should be tight (about 1.5" to 2 " when lifted at the edge), if not tighten screws at the rear. If the belt is tight enough then pull the front cover off and check the front roller. Sometimes the plastic drive pully slips on the front roller. If it only stops while you are running and is fine when you walk, i would go to the front roller. I've got a Pro-Form 680
Should be instruction in your manual on how to take it out of demo mode. I believe it is press the stop button and insert the key. Then press the arrow down speed button once and the letter D that was on the display will disappear. You may have other problem like a damaged upright cable.Call the number in your manual for service as you should have a free 1 year warranty.
Pro-Form 680 LT treadmill console
Hi,
You could disconnect the treadmill for few minutes, say 15 minutes and then turn it ON. If the problem persist, this is an indication of hardware failure. I have no idea whether you would be comfortable in testing electrical components and replacing it?
However, would give you some pointers . The NO display and NOT respond option is suggestive of one or combination of reasons :-
1. There is a loose connection. You need to inspect all wires running from control board to the console.
2. Hardware failure such as control board, transformer, fuse or even power tube.
If you have the instruments and would like to carry repair, revert and i would be able to provide you with few pointers.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Here are some possible causes and solutions:
Overheating: If the motor or electronics of the treadmill get too hot, the machine may shut down to prevent damage. Make sure that the treadmill is placed in a well-ventilated area and that the air filters are clean. You can also try lubricating the walking belt to reduce friction.
Faulty speed sensor: If the speed sensor is malfunctioning, it may cause the treadmill to shut down. You can try cleaning the speed sensor with a soft cloth and see if that helps .
Worn walking belt: If the walking belt is worn or damaged, it may cause the treadmill to shut down. You can try replacing the walking belt and see if that helps.
Electrical issues: If there are any electrical issues with the treadmill, it may cause the machine to shut down. You can try resetting the circuit breaker or unplugging the treadmill for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact Proform customer service.
