Ouch, well I am assuming it doesn't start the walking belt until the Start button is pressed, then speeds up to Max? Uncontrolled speed, or what manufacturers dislike, Runaway, is a sign of a failed (shorted) FET on the motor control board. Reebok is an Icon Brand and you might find a replacement or repair thru jatinah electronics who services all styles of controllers and has some exchanges available for as little as 75 and a returned core. What is the frequency of the knock? Is it every second, few seconds, or very fast? This can tell if it has something to do with the track or the motor.

I would say the blown fuse was definitely "a" problem but not necessarily THE problem. Something caused the fuse to blow and it is likely with the belt drive system as the lift was still working. Look for burned or shorted places on the PCB and check the motor. You will definitely need another fuse - get 3 or 4! There are several motor troubleshooting vids on utube. If this one isn't helpful, try some others.

I do not think you can , you must replace the switch

most likely you need to replace the motor

pull it out maybe,the disc.

Try replacing the motor belt first this usually goes first or just needs adjustment

Pull the belt with your feet while voltage applied to motor. A motor brush may be stuck

use a good silicon spray. it goes under the belt between the belt and walking deck. apply in a "s " pattern to cover entire area of walking belt.this keeps the friction down and squeaking noises

Exactly same just happened to my brand new Zr9 (error 5). Reebok said they would replace the motor or complete tredmill or my money back. Undecided as to what to do but thought i was buying a reliable bit of kit ??? They do cover it with 2yr warranty and it is really nice use, will research a bit more before deciding.

7 amps wth no load is kind of high for this.. be looking at the surface that the belt is on.. and the rollers for excess drag..this should completely freewheel when no one is on it..

How long before it trips? Is it immediately? If so there is a short in the machine. You need onsite diagnosis. 877-805-1030

Hi Daniel, Where do you think the noise is coming from ?

Check to see if the RPM/speed sensor is functioning. On some models this sensor is positioned next to the pulley on the front roller and opens and closes each time the magnet on the front roller passes the sensor. The sensor could have failed, or it may simply be too far away from the magnet on the front roller. 1/8 " is the normal distance between the sensor and magnet. It is also possible that the magnet is missing from the front roller. Be sure to post the units exact model# which normally starts with RBTL....

take the side rails off,unbolt or unscrew the deck and replace deck.

It may be the running belt . Check the underside of the belt. The side of the belt that touches the deck.

The only place I know is smooth fitness stocks them. I put new brushes in mine, and then soldered teh commutator connections-----it is working now, who knows for how long !
