you have an other part that went bad. Inside the faucet there ins a part called a devertot that is in the body of the faucet. This little part move the water from the main spout to the hand held sprayer.
You have to remove the handle and the spout. pop it out pop a new one in and you are good to go.

I do not have the side spray, but there is a
faucet needs new gaskets and springs located below the handle. remove handle, loosen collar nut and remove, pull cartridge out straight up, remove gaskets and springs, take to local Home Depot and buy new and replace. install cartridge, install collar nut, install handle. All finished.
I have a leak from below the "spout housing" which
some Faucet had a safty lock and kad to be turned to the right or left over the base plate before the would come up. then they can still be tuff do to inturnal corrosion that is the best that i can remember. have not had on for about 15 years.

I sell this model at my job and if you already tried changing the cartridge, then it has to be the nut that goes right on top of the cartridge. It may not be holding it down tight enough. Where's it leaking from? The spout or the handle? Let me know and I hope I can help...

No the length doesn't matter. When you turn the faucet on, you also fill the hose to the sprayer, and it may expand slightly, causing the sprayer to move a little. Is the drip from the end of the spout at the aearator? or is it around the faucet lever. If it is the lever, you should be able to tighten it slightly. If it's the end, make sure your aearator is clean.
Low pressure on hot water setting.
You almost had the problem solved. After you back flush the faucet you need to disconnect the line just before the faucet and then run the water into a bucket or down the drain until the line is flushed out. Depending on the size and amount of debris in the line you may have to flush the line further back until you get all the junk out.
The white crystal like substance is scale, a build up of minerals from your water. It might be worth your while to check into a water softener. Most water softener companies will do free water testing to help you determine if you need one. Beware of the high pressure sales gimics though.

1-Remove aerator from end of faucet spout to check to make sure it is not obstructed by anything. Grit builds up there and causes flow to decrease , but it can be taken appart and cleaned out.
2-If you have a sprayer attachment to it sometimes the diverter goes bad. This sends water to spray head.
Cut water off remove handle with allen wrench and loosen collar on top to gain access to remove spout. after removing handle and collar you can pull up on spout or work it side to side easily to remove it.
In the middle at the bottom it has a removeable diverter that can be removed and replaced.
If it comes appart it will restrict water flow.
3- If you have to remove faucet to make sure no obstructions any where esle.

Water volume has been getting very slow
Could be a blockage in the valves and check any filters any where in line.some sinks in kitchen have a filter under sink and check valve to make sure they are opened all the way.

To remove the plastic insert on your Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet, you can follow these steps:
