Yamaha PSR S900 keyboard failure, in touch

That is NOT touch response, but velocity sensing. Each key has two contacts and one closes before the other to facilitate measuring the key velocity. In your case, it sounds like the key you are holding down has a bad disconnect diode in the key matrix and is holding the "first contact" signal true so the next key senses max closure speed. If you are not electronically adept, you need to take it in for servicing... however first tip the thing and vibrate it as some contamination MAY be shorting a line in the key matrix. Staples and paper clips are notorious problems with keyboards when they get into the key area.

Yamaha electone hs 5 no lights on, no sounds

It sounds like there may be an issue with the power supply to your Yamaha Electone HS5. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check that the power cord is securely plugged into the back of the Electone and into a working outlet.
  2. Make sure that the outlet you are using is functioning properly by plugging in another device to see if it powers on.
  3. If the power cord and outlet seem to be working properly, try resetting the Electone by unplugging it from the wall and waiting a few minutes before plugging it back in.
  4. If none of these steps help, there may be an issue with the power supply unit inside the Electone. In this case, it is recommended to have the instrument serviced by a qualified technician.

The individual keys on my Yamaha PSR-85 are out of tune with each other. I did a factory reset which helped partially get things together, but individual keys are still not right.

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with your Yamaha PSR-85 keyboard where the individual keys are out of tune with each other. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the settings: Make sure that the keyboard is set to the correct tuning and that any pitch bend or transpose settings are set to the correct values.
  2. Check for damage: Inspect the keyboard for any visible damage or debris that may be causing the keys to be out of tune.
  3. Check for software updates: It's possible that there may be a software update available for the keyboard that could fix any issues you are experiencing. Check the manufacturer's website to see if there are any updates available.
  4. Calibrate the keyboard: Some keyboards have a calibration feature that can be used to fine-tune the tuning of the keys. Check the manual for your keyboard to see if it has this feature and how to use it.

I have a yamaha mo6 keyboard and the touch sensitivity has gone. How can i retrieve it?

If the touch sensitivity on your Yamaha MO6 keyboard has stopped working, there could be several possible causes for this issue. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the touch sensitivity setting: Make sure that the touch sensitivity setting on the keyboard is turned on. The touch sensitivity function may have been turned off accidentally or may have been set to a low sensitivity level.
  2. Check the keyboard's firmware: Make sure that the keyboard's firmware is up to date. If the firmware is out of date, it may cause issues with the touch sensitivity function.
  3. Check the keyboard's connections: Make sure that all connections to the keyboard are secure and that there are no loose or damaged cables.
  4. Check the keyboard's internal components: If the keyboard has been subjected to moisture or has been dropped, it is possible that the internal components may be damaged. If you suspect that the touch sensitivity problem is caused by a hardware issue, it may be necessary to have the keyboard inspected by a professional.
If these steps do not resolve the problem, it may be necessary to contact Yamaha customer support for further assistance. They should be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps based on the make and model of your keyboard.

I have a Yamaha dtexpress. Very old, but works great. Except the snare sound. It is stuck on bongos. Is there a factory reset for the dtxpress?

It's possible to reset the DTXPRESS electronic drum kit to its factory default settings by performing a Factory Reset. Here's how you can do it:

Press and hold the [DRUM KIT] and [SAMPLE] buttons while turning on the power switch.
The display will show "FACTORY RESET OK?"
Press the [DRUM KIT] button to execute the factory reset.
The display will show "INITIALIZING" while the reset is being performed.
When the reset is complete, the display will show "COMPLETED".
Note: Performing a factory reset will delete all user kits, samples, and other custom settings that you have made. Be sure to save any custom kits or settings that you want to keep before performing the reset.

Yamaha PSR_S750- what can I do to fix the on/off button-?

If the on/off button on your Yamaha PSR-S750 keyboard is not working, there could be a few possible issues. Here are some things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Make sure that the keyboard is properly plugged in and that the power switch is in the "on" position.
If the keyboard is plugged in and the power switch is on, try unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in to see if this resolves the issue.
If the keyboard still does not turn on, try using a different power outlet or a different power cord to see if the issue is with the power source.
If the keyboard still does not turn on, there may be a problem with the on/off button itself or with the keyboard's internal electronics. In this case, you may need to contact Yamaha for further assistance.
As for the issue with some notes being too loud, there are a few potential causes:

Make sure that the volume of the keyboard is set to an appropriate level. You can adjust the volume using the volume control knob on the keyboard or by using the volume control on your amplifier or speakers (if you are using them).
Some notes may be louder due to the way they are played or due to the settings on the keyboard. You can try adjusting the touch sensitivity or dynamics settings on the keyboard to see if this makes a difference.
If the issue persists, it is possible that there is a problem with the keyboard itself. In this case, you may need to contact Yamaha for further assistance.

Any idea why my Yamaha P95 electric piano has no sound or volume

Hi, Please ensure that the volume down button isn't permanently stuck on the piano. You can also double check that there's not wire plugged into the earphone jack otherwise all of you sound might be outputting to that wire which might lead to headphones that you're not necessarily using. Then, you can power cycle your device before checking for sound again. Otherwise, you might have to get the device repaired at a location like Geeksquad/Bestbuy. Thank you.

My 16 channel Yamaha mixer board will not power on as if power switch is messed up I'm wondering if there is an easy fix

It depends. If if has an external power supply, you can try a different supply of the same rating. Beyond that, it may be a blown fuse, which may be internal on the power supply board, or as you say perhaps a broken power switch. Whether it's easy or not will depend on your diagnostic skills, how much you know about electronic repairs, and your availability of parts. Generally, i suggest people take their repairs to professionals as poking around inside electronic gear can cause more damage, both to the gear and to themselves.

Only starting display backlight When I press the power button on my Yamaha PSR E413 keyboard

When you turn on your keyboard it carries out a self check to make sure all is OK, if not the start up procedure stops It could be a fault on the mainboard, the rubber switched do wear but as the light is coming on it would indicate this is working Try a master reset : whilst switched off, hold down the highest note (Top C) and whilst holding down turn on, after a few seconds if this is successful then the display will show up, this function resets to factory setup If this fails you will need to investigae board connections etc inside the keyboard Good luck
