Im trying to find out about a guitar that we have the best we can tell the serial number is EB125T0 it is very hard to read does this sound like a legitimate number for a Gibson Guitar

I beleive you are mis-reading the model number rather than the serial number. I beleive what you are meaning to say is ES125TD, which is a Gibson model. The serial number will either be written on the label you saw this number on or on the rear of the headstock. If you email pics and whatever other info you have to [email protected] they can identify it for you.

You'll have to contact Gibson for that directly, they keep those numbers fairly secret so only they know the real ones.

I have an ES335 copy Onyx guitar.When I plug into my amp there is a continuous loud rasping buz. When I touch the strings the buz gets louder. What could cause this and how do I checkit out. I have a

The most likely case is that one of the main output transistors (if which there are many) is shorted. When the protect circuit senses DC on the final output, it will not allow the output relay to come on to protect the speakers from raw DC. With the power removed, you can check between each outputs Emitter and Collector and you will probably find close to zero ohms. From that point you need to unsolder each of the pins of the bad channel until you find the shorted device(s) and replace them.
