I have never worked on this particular tool, but you can try one of 2 directions. I would suggest calling them at 1-800-879-8000 and ask for tech assistance. Usually if the light is on that indicates the need servicing or the brushes are worn out and again needs servicing. Let me know if you need more assistance.
