Water dispenser works ice maker works but no ice through dispenser

If your refrigerator's ice maker is working, but no ice is dispensing through the dispenser, there are a few possible causes and troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the ice chute: Make sure the ice chute is clear of any ice obstructions. Sometimes, ice can get stuck in the chute, blocking the flow of ice to the dispenser. Use a plastic utensil or a straw to clear any ice buildup or debris in the chute.
  2. Inspect the dispenser mechanism: Open the dispenser area and check if any part of the mechanism is obstructed or damaged. Look for any ice blockages or misaligned parts that may be preventing ice from being dispensed properly. Clean or repair any issues you identify.
  3. Verify the dispenser solenoid: The ice dispenser is usually operated by a solenoid that controls the release of ice from the ice maker. Ensure the solenoid is functioning correctly by listening for a clicking sound when you press the ice dispenser paddle. If you don't hear a click, the solenoid may be faulty and require replacement.
  4. Check the dispenser motor: The dispenser motor is responsible for activating the auger that pushes ice through the chute. If the motor is not functioning properly, it may need to be replaced. Test the motor by activating the ice dispenser and listening for any humming or buzzing sounds. If you hear the sound but the auger is not turning, the motor may be faulty.
  5. Inspect the ice bucket: Ensure that the ice bucket is properly installed and seated in the correct position. Sometimes, if the bucket is not aligned correctly, it can prevent ice from flowing through the dispenser. Remove the ice bucket and reposition it securely.
  6. Check the water supply: Make sure the refrigerator has a steady water supply. If the water supply is interrupted or the water filter is clogged, it can affect the ice production and dispenser functionality. Check the water line and replace the water filter if necessary

My Vevor SM2 is not cooling or freezing It clicks but the compressor does not come on.

Hello! For your Vevor SM2 refrigerator, there could be a few potential causes for this issue, with potential fixes:
  1. Power supply: Ensure that the refrigerator is properly connected to a power source and that the outlet is functioning correctly. Check the power cord for any damage or loose connections.
  2. Start relay or overload relay: The clicking sound you hear could be the result of a faulty start relay or overload relay. These components help start the compressor. If they are defective, they may need to be replaced. Consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for specific instructions on locating and replacing these relays.
  3. Compressor motor: The compressor motor itself may be faulty and not functioning properly. A malfunctioning compressor can prevent the refrigerator from cooling or freezing. If the compressor motor is defective, it may need to be replaced. It's recommended to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for assistance with diagnosing and replacing the compressor motor.
  4. Temperature control thermostat: The temperature control thermostat regulates the operation of the compressor. If it is not functioning correctly, it may not be sending the proper signals to start the compressor. Consider checking the thermostat settings and ensuring they are properly adjusted. If the thermostat is defective, it may need to be replaced.
  5. Other electrical components: There could be other electrical components, such as wiring or control board, that are causing the issue. These components should be inspected by a professional technician to determine if they are functioning correctly.
It's important to note that refrigeration repairs can involve working with electrical components and require technical expertise. If you are not familiar with refrigerator repair, it is recommended to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer's customer service for further assistance. They will have the knowledge and tools necessary to diagnose and resolve the issue with your Vevor SM2 refrigerator.

Can the fridge/freezer be transported in a horisontal position over a distance of 230 km. What must be done to ensure that the gas pipes do not get damaged in the process.

Transporting a fridge/freezer in a horizontal position over a long distance can pose risks to the gas pipes and cooling system. However, if necessary precautions are taken, it is possible to minimize the potential damage. Here are some steps to follow:
  1. Empty and defrost the appliance: Remove all the contents from the fridge/freezer and allow it to defrost completely before transportation. This helps prevent water leakage and reduces the risk of damage to internal components.
  2. Secure the doors: Make sure the doors of the fridge/freezer are securely closed and taped or tied shut to prevent them from opening during transportation.
  3. Protect the interior: Use packing materials such as blankets, foam, or bubble wrap to secure and protect the interior of the appliance from any potential impacts or vibrations during transit.
  4. Use proper transportation equipment: Utilize a truck or vehicle with a stable and level surface to transport the fridge/freezer. Avoid tilting or leaning the appliance excessively during loading, unloading, and transit.
  5. Secure the appliance: Use straps or ropes to secure the fridge/freezer in place and prevent it from moving around during transportation. This helps minimize the risk of sudden movements that could damage the gas pipes or cooling system.
  6. Avoid extreme temperatures: Try to avoid transporting the appliance in extreme temperatures, whether too hot or too cold. Extreme heat can increase pressure in the cooling system, while extreme cold can affect the performance of the compressor and other components.
  7. Hire professional movers: If possible, consider hiring professional movers with experience in transporting appliances. They will have the necessary equipment, knowledge, and expertise to handle the job safely.

When the panel lights on your Defy fridge freezer are flashing, it usually indicates an error or a specific condition that needs attention. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Power Reset: Start by performing a power reset to see if it resolves the flashing lights issue. Turn off the fridge freezer at the main power supply or unplug it from the electrical outlet. Can you lay a refrigerater down flat to transport

Yes as long as the coils that carry the freon is located on the top side of the compressor when laying down. Look at the lines on the compressor. You should see 2 of them. 1 larger than the other. Imagine you are tilting the refrigerator. If the lines are on the right side you can it down on it's left side ok. If they are on the left side you lay the fridge down on it;s right side. Hope this helps.

My Hisense fridge was transported lying down. After specific instruction to keep upright. Will it be damaged

In most cases no, the reason they don't want them to be laid down when transporting is because they have oil in the refrigerant lines. When the unit is laid down, the oil pools in pipes and can cause issues if the unit is plugged in immediately after being stood up. In order to reduce the chance of something going wrong, allow it to stand up right for 24 hours before you turn it on.

Norcold N611R fridge in my travel trailer has blinking green and yellow LEDs. Cools on gas. Unstable on AC power

Based on the information provided, it seems that the Norcold N611R fridge in the travel trailer is experiencing issues with cooling on AC power. The green and yellow LEDs are blinking, and the fridge stops cooling after running for a random number of hours. The gas cooling seems to be working fine, and the fuses, AC/DC power, and power board have been checked and replaced. One possible cause of this issue could be a faulty heating element. To check if the heater is working properly, you can use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the heater. The resistance should be between 44 and 52 ohms. If the resistance is outside of this range, then the heater may need to be replaced. Another possible cause of this issue could be a problem with the thermostat or temperature control system. If the temperature control system is not functioning properly, then it may not be able to maintain a consistent temperature in the fridge, which could cause it to stop cooling after a certain amount of time. It is also possible that there is an issue with the wiring or connections in the fridge. If there is a loose or damaged wire or connection, then this could cause intermittent cooling issues. In order to diagnose and fix this issue, it may be necessary to consult with a professional technician who has experience working with Norcold fridges.

Why does super cool and super freeze orange lights flash

A blinking orange light on appliances such as refrigerators and freezers indicates that the "supercool" or "superfreeze" feature is active. These features are designed to quickly cool or freeze the contents inside the device. A flashing light serves as a visual cue that the unit is actively working to quickly cool or freeze food. Once the desired temperature is reached, the light will stop flashing, indicating the unit has completed the cooling or freezing process.
