Did you mean to recover a Linux OS.Routers don,t use kernerls.

if you want to remove security key, just reset the router by pressing the hole or reset button and then type in brower 192.168.1.1 and access in your router.then you can assign new security if you want or leave without security. just connect your computer by hard wire and by same wire other end of this wire will connect to router. don't need to do anythig. computer n router knows best everything else what to do.

you will have guest password and a main password for the router... you can find those information printed at the bottom of the router in the tag that came along with the router(look in the entire tag you will have 2 passwords)...
The main password will be a 8 digit password, and it is case sensitive(upper/lower case letters has to be typed as the same) The second character on the password will be the number "4"
For example, the password looks like X4XXXXXX
Try with the main password, it will work....

Try recycling the router by unplugging it then after 20 seconds plug it back in. See if you can stay connected. If not, unplug the modem and the router, then plug the modem in and let it cycle up for about a minute or two, then plug the router in and let it cycle up. Son muchas las causas de este problema con belkin router, primero tienes que darme mas detalles como quien es el provedor de internet? es DSL o Cable cuantas PC or laptos se conectan,solo la senal wireless no esta trabajando? o tambien usando el network cable.. dame un poco mas de informacion para poder ayudarte y solucionar este problema juntos

Plug the Ethernet cable from the WAN/Uplink port to the Ethernet port on the modem. That's the bare minimum to get your network running. Additionally you would want to configure some wireless security so that other people can not access your network.

It is not possible to connect your USB modem to belkin router... You need to run an ethernet cable between the modem and router...
Belkin routers are not compatible with USB modems like cricket broadband, MTS Mblaze modem etc...
