Reset disk or admin password may help you reset Windows password without software. But those cannot guarantee 100% reset for all password problems. Personally I will still choose software to reset Windows password. Because normally that will be easy and effective. Press f4 while turning the system on. or press F8 and it will give you the option, "repair your computer" click on that enter password if any and do system recovery. this should solve the problem. Make sure to take back up if you have anything important in the system.
