Please follow the following steps.

1) Turn off the printer.

2) Shutdown the PC to which the printer is connected.

3) Remove the USB/Serial cable through which the printer is connected to the PC and reconnect it back and replace the black ink cartridge with a new one.

4) Now switch ON the PC(only PC and not the printer)

5) Let the PC boot up and login to windows.

6) Now switch on the printer, PC should detect the printer automatically now.
Now you will be able to print.

• Make sure installed cartridge is an original i2700 cartridge.

• Make sure the right cartridge is in the right slot.

• Make sure the orange tape is fully removed from the cartridge.
• Disconnect the printer fully from power and also all the usb connections.
• Turn off the PC.
• Reconnect everything and turn on the printer and the PC.

you could try looking for third party software that can do that other wise i don't think it has an inbuilt feature for that..
