Hi, My Magicolor 1600W ran out of the starter
Hi Steve. There should be an 800 number in your manual that you can call and talk to technical support. They should be able to help you over the phone... You may have to press certain buttons to reset it. Hope this helps.

The quickest and most painless way is to go to your "Control Panel" and select "Add & Remove Programs" and scroll down and find every driver that pertains to that printer and delete it. You are stuck in a repeat cycle and the quickest and easiest way to get rid of it is just clear everything out of your printer and reload it. I realize this may take quite a bit of time but how long have you been fooling with it already? If you try to clear just that file you are sure enough going to spend some time on it and with no guarantees. You've probably got a lot of malware and ad-ware built up in the files anyway. If you don't have the CD to reload it as you already know you can download them from the internet. Get the manufactures download for the 'EXACT' model. Look closely at your printer for any little hidden or almost hidden little letters following the model #. For instance I have a HP OfficeJet 650 E709n, there is also one that looks exactly like that ends with E709e, and I downloaded the drives for the latter once and had a heck of a time with it. Just a little note of caution that might save you a big headache.
Back to the download, if the printer is not in warranty they are probably going to try and charge you for a down load. Look real close they all have a free download but sometimes you have to raise up a rock to find it. Once it's downloaded it should be back to normal and even if you do have the CD to load it, it still might not be a bad idea to go to the vendors site for a download because usually they have an upgraded version of the CD that you have so you get extra software which most of the times makes it run faster and just better all around. I've encountered the same problem that you're having on numerous occasions and through trial and error (mostly error) I have learned not to mess with it just sweep the floor and put down a new rug.
