How do i connect netflix to my plasma monitor
probably not a good idea. plasma monitors have been quite a problem. when an image moves it will leave a some of its self still be behind and be in the way of the next image in motion. this will happen if the plasma monitor is on too long, because plasma is a type of liquid that has been known to over heat and burn into the screen. so im just giving you a heads up before you do it. the best screens to use are LCD screens, because unlike plasma and LED, it wont overheat and ruin the monitor

NORCENT MODEL PT4231.TURN THE MASTER
The continuous flashing indicates that the power source is in protected mode: another part inside the tv has failed, it draws an excessive amount of current and that has been detected by the safety system of the power source who has shut it down to protect it and the rest of the tv.
Since the status light goes to orange for a few moments before going red it means that the problem is outside the power source. The most probable cause is indeed with the mainboard; if it would have been one of the Sustain boards the failure would have been much more brutal and instantaneous (no orange on the status light) .
To certify that you will have to test the mainboard with an oscilloscope to find out if the processor is operational. If you don't have one just swap it.

2 inch line vertically down center of screen
You have a bad LCD driver that can only be fixed by replacing the LCD screen. Chances are the cost of the screen exceeds the cost of the TV, and if you're not under warranty I'd recommend a new unit.

Tv will not stay on
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. From what
you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board
we’ll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the
power board-the board where, the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see
some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this
is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment
is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other
board-where all the inputs are going into. All this is only recommended if you
have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please do accept the solution if
the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

Tv shuts off and on by itself
Hi,
I only hope you have connected the tv with a stabilizer or is it inbuilt? This might be because of Voltage fluctutations. Also, check the connectivity of the internal power card.

Take the TV Back....bad transformer in it, not worth fixing unless you're under warrantee or have extended service plan. Replace if you can as NORCENT is bottom rung of these types of TV's. If you don't know or haven't heard of them, don't buy them...from a guy who sells these things!

My last question, I promise!
No on the contrary, most defective components on a defective board will malfunction when they reach operational temperature, and a chemical called component cooler is often employed to locate the faulty component. Semiconductors are weird as some malfunction when cold and work fine when warm, but the majority will fail when operating temperature is reached. If you need assistance please let me know.

Eske told me to ask you!
Are the vertical lines across the entire Screen? If so it could be the control Board. If the lines only go part way from the top but not all the way to the bottom. Depending on where they are it could be the x boards. can you post a picture of your screen with the lines?

I had the same problem too. It called the Y-main Board. It cost $145 if you order directly from Norcent itself. I hope that help.
