Tv worked fine last night. tried to turn on today

ONLY 1 or 2 things can cause this problem----First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it pulls out and secured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---Notice the one or two pairs of wires coming from the front keyboard2.gif of the set---remove the inspection plate and follow the wires to the right--you can unplug both plugs(most have two and they are marked with letters and different sizes so you cannot get them wrong)

The idea here is to remove the front keyboard2.gif with its reset button etc from the circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with the remote---these sets have a Receiver(large metal box to the left as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light will blink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up.

If disconnecting the keyboard2.gif allows the set to turn on--you have a bad reset switch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or to remove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and remove and or replace it.

If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---the receiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail in that unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and not the caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--if you need to know their name let me know---you can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.

FLASHING GREEN LIGHT

you have a bad digital module, if you pull the chassis out, the digital module sits on the left standing up inside a ground shield, remove the module, replace the 4 1000microfarad at 16 volt capacitors with 1000 mic at 25v or 680mic at 25v, solder in the new capacitors, put it back together, it works, you may need a tv repairman for this.

Mitsubishi 1080 hd ws-65809 wont power up

This issue is almost always caused by a faulty Convergence IC inside your TV. These chips heat up and can become damaged over time. The most common cause I have seen for the picture distortion is the heat of the Convergence IC weakening the solder connection to the TV circuit board. If you look on various messages board you will see people rigging wooden dowels and other items to apply pressure to the chips in order to correct their picture issue. This works because when the solder joint is weakened the chip becomes loose and vibrations or pressure will cause it to work or not work correctly. Aside from all that information the correct fix is to have the IC chips replaces on your TV.

The solutions for this issue are as follows:

1. located a tv repair shop that will replace the parts for you. I had the same issue with my 65" Tv and the quote was $350 for the labor and parts.

2. You can ordered the IC replacements yourself online by going to google and looking up a reseller of the STK392-110 Convergence IC that is inside your model TV. You will need 2 of them and they cost around $6 each. If you have the soldering skills to remove the old chips and install the new ones this is by far the most cost effective route. It is a fairly simple process and guides can be found online.

Mitsubishi Diamond WS(???) rear projection t.v.

When the repair person gets to your house, first of all, let them work. Then once all is done ask them what they think is wrong with the set and how much it will cost. I think that you have lost the use of the green CRT, and you may just need a driver IC to fix it. You can ask the technician these questions and get a straight reply.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

I have a phillips matchline plasma the power light

According to " Consumer Affairs. com", the problems with seris of Phillips plasmas are innumberable. And they all start with the flashing red light, from 3 - 7 times. Baased on the information you gave, there is something wrong with the TV itself, not your perifrials. I would contact Phillips/ Magnavox to see if they will pay for an authorized sevice center visit, or even ship you a part to solve the problem.

I have a rear proj

This is definitely a problem you don't want to tackle at home. TV's are made to kick off when it knows a problem exists. The warped pic is a "convergence IC" issue. That IC needs to be replaced by a tech, either in home or in shop.

Green TV timer light flashing and TV does not turn

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.
