Picture bowing

on the inside of the tv, there is a circuit board with a metal cover over it. looking in from the rear, it is the tallest one and to your left. its where your usb ports are and also the digital audio ports.its tricky to get it out but once u do there will probably 4 capicators on one corner that will be swolen. they are bad if u see this. you will need 4 16volt 1000 uF(micro Farret) 105degrees c. once u have soldered them into place and are ready to install make sure u get the board in line tn the groves of the plastic line up tool that will still be attatched on the board, and make sure u get the panel conected. plug your tv in wait bout a min, the light dosnt go off reset and wait one more min. it this dosnt cure your problem you probably have a bad module. but if it does work you have a cheep fix. the capacitors are only about 25cents each on mouser.com, and anyone can buy from them.

Won't power up.

Check the center board for two green 5amp Pico fuses F9A04 and F9A05 if those two picos are blow, replace both STK392-570 convergence ICs on that same board and the set will be repaired. Fuse F9A05 will read open in circuit but F9a04 wont so its best to lift one side of those two pico fuses out of circuit to check them. (* % of the time a 22 code in that chassis its the ICs having shorted and it will blow those two picos. You can get replacement parts at the following link.

Will not power on

The power supply has detected a problem, most likely a blown fuse caused by a bad convergence IC. If this is the problem the parts cost is around $50, but printed circuit board work is required to fix it.

Green indicator light flicks about 3-5 times

The power supply has likely detected a short circuit. Hold the front panel INPUT and MENU buttons down for 5 seconds then read the code from the green light. If the light flashes a 2-2 code (2 flashes, followed by a 1/2 second pause, followed by 2 flashes) then pico fuses are blown. A 1-2 code indicates that nothing is wrong. The likely cause for blown pico fuses (FA904 & FA905) is a bad convergence driver IC. The PC board must be resoldered to replace the ICs and fuses.

Won't power on...

Unplug the TV for a minute then plug it in while observing the power light. If the light flashes three times then the standby power supply is OK.

If the standby power supply is OK, a diagnostic code can be read from the green power light by counting the flashes. Press the power button once (this sets the diagnostic code). Press and hold the INPUT and MENU buttons on the fron panel for 5 seconds then release. The green light flash a two digit code (x flashes, followed by a pause, then y flashes). If it flashes a 2-2 code then a short circuit has been detected in the switched power supply. It would normally flash a 1-2 code for "no problem detected".

If a 2-2 code is read, check for blown pico fuses on the POWER circuit board. If the FA904 or FA905 fuses are blown then most likely at least one of the two convergence driver ICs are bad. It seems like this is the most common failure. I replaced these fuses and ICs in my TV. The parts cost me $50, but it required extensive disassembly, PC board desoldering & resoldering, and reassembly. If you can resolder circuits on a PC board then you can probably fix it yourself, otherwise call a repair person.

Mitsubishi WS-65807 blinks '22'

Jim,
yes the convergence Ics are what cause the two picos to be open they are both 5 amp picos. You can get the picos, the convergence ICs and the factory service manual for your model at the following link.your model is known as the V17 chassis for service manuals and you should require two STK392-570 Convergence ICs. Heres the link they provide free instalation instructions.

Will not power on any more, it's dead.

Check the power cable and wall socket. One of them is likely the problem. If not, it could be that the power board on your TV has failed. In this case, you will have to get a technician to diagnose and repair the fault.

HD tv with the mitsu

Well if your refering to the right tv (check your model number) then this tv only supports 480i, 480p and 1080i. Ive never seen anywhere that it supports 720i.

The component wires should include three lines for each corresponding color, red green and blue, and finally white and red for left and right audio. I think that is what your refering to.

If everything is right, it should work, the fact your seeing green could be a number of issues... maybe its a direct tv box issue?
