Mitsubishi WS-55819 55" Rear Projection Television - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Mitsubishi WS-55819 has double vision screen with
Sounds like bad convergence IC's; this set uses two STK-392-570 IC CHIPS; both should be replaced and the blue 3.9 ohm resistors in front of them should be checked. Get someone who has done this repair on this kind of set before--it is usually not something for a do it yourself person; the middle pc board needs to be removed to safely replace the chips; then the set needs to be adjusted in the regular and HD modes. If this is helpful, give me a vote. if you need more direct information email me:

Mitsubishi WS-55819 TV Wont turn on.
code stands for loss of vertical. I had one of these if you can check pico fuses, check the ones on the main power board the one with the 2 convergence amps if any of them are blown then most likely the convergence amps have shorted out.
No color picture is in black and white only
I presume you are using a S-video input from maybe a computer source.
If it is an S-video source then you should try a different cable of better quality. Also check that the TV is set for the correct type of input.
I have a Mitsubishi 55 inch rear projection tv,
Your reference to concave picture suggests a high voltage problem and not convergence. If the raster can't scan from left to right , top to bottom, your having High voltage trouble. if your colors are not dropping on top of each other that is convergence. I would suggest it may be time to consider a purchase of the new HD set for the cost of this repair. good luck
Watch Computer on Mitshubishi WS-55819. Help me please.
Look on the back of the set and see if you have a VGA connection available. On many of the HD series they do. If id does it should also have a audio in via rca jacks or a 3.5mm stereo jack. If the set does not have a VGA input on it , look on the Laptop and see if it does have S-Video out. If it does, you can probably use it in the S-Video in on the TV and run the Audio out from the Laptop to the audio in of the S-Video Input you are using. I would use the VGA Jack if available. Be aware that if it does and you use it it will only work in low 800x600 at 60Hz.
Hope this helps,

Mitsubishi non powerup problem
If it is a steady blink then it will be something with the microprocessor not resetting. That set does give fault codes by blinking in a pattern, like two blinks then a pause then three blinks.
It can be a little tricky to troubleshoot, I think that set has a micro, two eproms and another IC that they called a watchdog which has a lot to do with the micro and preventing it from locking up. It may also be a power supply problem not supplying proper power to the micro. I'd try a few more unplugs and maybe plug direct to outlet and bypass surge protector. If it won't reset you'll need someone familiar with that set to service it for you.
Mitsubishi ws-55819
you would need the service manual the adjust the vertical size through the service menu
Mitsubishi WS-55819 power issue
No, that'll do it. Once you've changed em you'll know right away if somethin isn't right. But take faith and fire that puppy up. If the pix is good you did good. If something is amiss. I'd be happy to walk you through it. My money is on you though.
Grid Lines
Sounds like the convergence circuit is failing,2 big ICs (have letters STK on them) on metal heatsink most likely cause. You might get lucky and only need to resolder their pins they are known to have bad solder connections. This site has more info on the subject.

Mitsubish WS-819 Protective Shutdown. 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks
Over 95% of the time a 2 - 2 blink code on that model is a convergence output problem. You need to replace both of the convergence output IC's and perhaps the pico fuses feeding them voltage. The pico fuses are F9A04 and F9A05. They are on the same board with the convergence outputs.
Mitsubishi WS 55819 with a convergence
CEM-NO, BOTH ICS' WORK ALL 3 CRT YOKES.YOU EITHER NEED TO REALIGN THE RED IN FACTORY CONVERGENCE MODE OR YOU HAVE A RESISTOR THAT HAS FAILED.THE LATTER YOU MAY ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO SEE IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY.OH, ALWAYS DOUBLE CK. YOUR SOLDER CONNCETIONS.GOOD LUCK. JOE TV
Turn on
u may have a bad convergence ic and 2 pico fuse on the power supply , this type of work is recomende to be than by a tv repair shop
Sound ok, but no picture
the other two solutions prior to mine are retarded!!! I've worked in a Tv repair shop for over a decade and the problem is the same as
99.6 percent of all other electronics that function correctly when you smack them!
"BAD SOLDER CONNECTIONS" STEP1, plug-in and turn on the device. DONT BE A CHICKEN SHIT! unless!
It's a microwave oven,those can kill you!anyway
you need to open up the device,in
this case the Tv.plug-in and turn on the device,Find something non-conductive,like the handle of a screwdriver
holding it backwards,if you don't understand just use somthing non-metallic like a clean wooden spoon!Anything wood or plastic, then tap around the circuit boards. YOU WILL NOT GET SHOCKED!!! If you use something non-metallic!
eventually you will get a response weather
it corrects the problem or causes the failure you have located the bad solder connection .STEP2, Now unplug the device from the wall!
locate that area on the bottom side of the circuit board and resolder the indavidual solder jonts in that vicinaty more often than not,It's a part that is screwed or clamped on to a metal plate or block. DO NOT SOLDER TWO SEPERATE SOLDER JOINTS TOGETHER! IF YOU DO AND CAN NOT SEPERATE THEM GO TO A RADIOSHACK OR SOMEWHERE AND GET SOME CHEM-WICK OR SOLDER-WICK/DESOLDERING-WICK
IT LOOKS LIKE A ROLL OF BRAIDED COPPER WIRES!
PUT THAT STUFF BETWEEN THE SOLDERING IRON TIP
AND THE CONNECTIONS YOU FUCKED UP! AND IT WILL
DESOLDER THEM! IF YOU DESOLDER THEM ALL THE WAY RESOLDER THEM WITHOUT SOLDERING THEM TOGETHER AGAIN!
REPEAT STEPS 1 AND 2 UNTILL THE DEVICE NO LONGER FAILS.
PRECAUTIONS: 1 ONLY USE A PENCIL-TIP TYPE SOLDERING IRON,2 DONT USE SOLDER THICKER THAN ROUGHLY 2 MILIMETERS OR 1/16 OF AN INCH! THE THINNER THE BETTER!

Hook up a lg blueray player to mitsubishi medallion 65"
Yes, there is an adapter which will take the hdmi output of the blue-ray and convert it to dvi. You will also need to connect the blue-ray audio out (rca jacks) since the hdmi is both audio and video (digital) and the dvi is video only.
HD Problem
Sounds like you need to replace the Caps in the Dm board there are 4-7 of them if you send me pics I will talk you through it!
