I have a Mitsubishi VS-4503r. The input is locked and i don't have the remote

If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Unlock procedure and to override the password lock and to set the device region free procedure of many popular brand TVs and other devices are given. Search the site by type in this key phrase "How to unlock television"; in the search box at the top left of the display window, to get gathered related posts. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites. http://homenol.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts.

TV won't power on.

The Convergence ICs are bad. There is a pair of them on rather large heatsinks on the main board. If you have little or no soldering experience these can difficult to remove and replace. Not a cheap or quick fix.

You may want to contact JVC as I seem to remember this model did have some upgrades that needed to be done with a computer hooked directly to it.

The picture on my Mitsubishi Model VS-45607 is not

Good Day,
It sounds like you have a bad cap or IC. Replace C2P05 100 ufd 16 volts, off Pin 3 of IC2P01. It is on the Signal Board. IC2P01 Part # 270P466020 (stand-up type mounted on heat sink). The Signal Board is the the board on the left hand side looking at the TV from the back. The parts are on the right side of the Signal Brd towards the middle and back. Replace it even if it checks good. Look at other Caps in the general area and if you see black stuff on the negitive leg of those caps(replace them also).

Good Luck, Big Irish.

Warped picture

Good Day, jamelpp;

Sounds like the warped picture may be caused by the convergence output IC's, but try this first:

E2RESET DOES NOT RESET THE CONVERGENCE. THE CONVERGENCE CAN BE RESET BY PRESSING "MENU 12598970", IF THIS DOES NOT RESET THE CONVERGENCE TRY "MENU 125968970"

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Mitsubishi VS 45607: 1. TV starts out as B/W when

You have a bad video board. If you can find one used it is fairly easy to replace once you get into the TV itself. Your color guns could also be adding to this problem. I am not familiar with this television and its components so I dont know if you can replace one color gun at a time or if once one is shot then all three have to be replaced. That should be a start for you anyway.

The power will go onand off in 2 seconds

Open this tv & check for oil on signal board. Inside front panel, RHS tube. Below it, look for an oil puddle. If you see one, the tv is toast.

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional

2. Open your TV and find PSB. Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

I have a tip/tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem.

Hope this helps and Good luck.

My Mitsubishi vs-45607 picture is

these older sets have a history of this.

Critical question: when first turned on picture is bouncing up and down, What about menu or on screen display?

Anyone with access to the Mitsubishi site can find this, if main picture jumps when cold but on screen menu does not it is a bad filter cap, site will have location for both, easy fix and cheap parts.

I usually in this case change both caps, saves having to do two repairs.

IF On screen display does not jump but main picture does when cold, there are two tiny caps that are bad, with a photo of inside of set I can pinpoint them for you clearly.

I have fixed this problem in the home many times and from memory know where to look.

Please let me know if need ANY help.

I am here to help you.

No joke, I am probably the most experienced Mitsubishi expert here on the site.
