hello.
error codes on the camera has something to do w/ the lens. send it for repair.
PC won't pick up camera connection
You need to reinstall the driver that will make your computer to see your camera. The driver for the hardware must have been corrupted, re-installing this driver will solve the problem. if you have a cd application that came along with your camera, it will be better if you use that to repair the damage driver by installing the software unto your system. Thanks
New batteries but no power...
Have you tried cleaning the battery terminals with a bit of alcohol on a Q-tip? Make sure the terminals are completely dry before inserting new batteries. I am not sure if this is your problem as it may be a lose connection between the battery unit and the camera. Best of luck.
I AM A FIRST TIME OWNER OF A PENTAX K100 .DOES
No, since this camera is an SLR, (single lens reflex), The shutter covers the imaging sensor until a picture is taken. The sensor would have to be exposed to provide an image preview on the LCD display screen. This feature is available in newer high end models made by Nikon and Canon, added a second sensor I'm guessing
Need a manual
i did not solve my problem ididnt get the correct camera it kept bringing up the one you mentioned instead of optio e35
Does not power up
It does not seem to be the battery, if what you have said is right. I think its a circuit problem within the camera. Cameras are toys that you want to take everywhere you go and one place that the camera does not agree with is the sea atmosphere. the salty wind gets into the camera circuits and eats into them. then they give errors do stuff like this. get it checked and repaired by the company that manufactured it. they will do a good job and also give you a graunttee on it.
AV error whn pentax ist DL & Quantaray zoom lens attached
I've got the same problem. The problem is that the lense is loosely attached to the body. What you need to do is that when you see the Av flashing, press the lense of the camera to the body and twist the lense to the left a bit. This tightens the connection. You can then take the photo.
PC won't pick up camera connection
Get a separate card reader. They are very cheap. Use this to check the card.
If the problem is with the camera you may still be able to use the card reader until you get it fixed.
An important thing to note when disconnecting the USB cable is that some devices do not like to be simply unplugged.
If you get a 'remove device safely' icon in the bottom right of the PC screen when somethin gis plugged in, make sure you click on that and follow the instructions before unplugging the device.
I personally do not plug my camera directly into the PC to avoid this risk entirely. Rather I use a card reader. I have still managed to destroy card readers by forgetting to do this though!
If the card is faulty, then you will be able to reformat it on the PC using the reader. The required software can be downloaded from the official SD card standards site.
Pentax ist Dl
Sorry no solutions, but...I am having the exact same problem!
Pictures are dark, even when flash is being used
Press the FN button under the toggle on right side of LCD screen. You will see white balance on left. Toggle down to the "flash" symbol". Should work a treat now. If not using flash go to FN again and raise ISO.(Don"t forget to go to Auto white balance again!!)
Petax ist DL Focus
It could be that your lighting situation inside is darker than in the store. Since the Pentax *st DL does not have an anti-shake sensor like other new cameras, it could be telling you that the low level light will not support the aperture setting you have to acuratley stay focused.
Try using a tripod and a lower aperture setting.
Pentax *ist DS USB Cable
You need a Pentax USB cable I-USB17.
You can get it online from B&H photo or Adorama camera.
I would go with B&H photo personally.
Ist Dl wont power up
I would see if the manufacture warranty is still good and have them check it. Let them know that you went back to the place you bought it and had no help from them.
Will not power-up
looks like the battery rating that you have used is not the rated ones that you are supposed to use with the camera. check the mah of the batteries supplied with the camera and the ones that you have bought. it should be the same or possibly more than you already have. Always remember that the batteries you buy at the shop may already have outlived the shelf life. after using it check if it still has any life in the battery, in a flashlight or something, that will indicate some charge in it. maybe the batteries are new but bad.
