Your shutter is driven by a small motor attached to the lens assmbly. It could be that which has died or more likely you have a sticky shutter. A small knock or a drop of soda can stop them from opening. Try switching on and very gently with a cotton bud see if you can help open the shutters. Whatever you do don't force them and force them out of shape. You may have to do this a few times to get in sync with the power up sequence but if you can get both shutters to open fully you should be in business. If they keep sticking I've seen one guy glue them open. Personally I'd rather fix them so they do their job.

Never remove or insert a memory card while the camera is turned on. Try removing the battery, waiting about 30 minutes, and then putting in a freshly charged battery. Never remove or insert a memory card while the camera is turned on!!!!!!

Hi. Your camera is too old to accept that big a card. The camera will let you know what size it will accept. Just keep putting larger sizes until it stops. Hope that helps.

The green light only means the memory card is getting power. That nothing else comes on indicates a serious problem that requires a trip to your local camera shop for help.

The Pentax Optio WG-2 takes an OEM manufactured battery or one designed for it. Google "Pentax Optio WG-2 replacement battery" or do a Amazon.com search for the same and you'll get thousands of options where to buy.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Buy a USB card reader take card from camera and use that to import pictures. Sadly I can't help without knowing full details of your equipment, camera, computer operating system, etc.

Yes you can play back the images and/or delete them from the internal memory from the camera. I strongly recommend an SD card in the future. The internal memory can hold a maximum of about 87 pictures at the lowest resolution (2 pictures at the highest resolution). It'll be easiest to view the current pictures without an SD card in place. To view the pictures, press the playback button (above and to the left of the 4-way arrow buttons) on the back of the camera. Use the left/right buttons in that 4-way area to navigate through the pictures. (You'll start at the last photo.) If you want to start the camera in playback mode, just press and hold the playback button while you turn on the camera. To delete the picture that you are looking at, press the green/trash button to the right of the Menu button. Then press the up/down arrows to reach Delete and click OK (in the center of the 4-way buttons). (See Page 100 (page 102) of the manual.) If you press the green button twice, you'll get a prompt to Delete all. That is similarly navigated with the up/down arrows and then OK. You sure you did put the camera to fully automatic? Because I don't know what model you have, I can't check the manual, to see if you could adjust the white balance. It has not much to do with ISO, but with white balance. Sure you did not select something like scene inside. or scene in tungsten?
