I suspect this is what you need.
Deactivating the Buttons on the Unit
(Child Lock)
You can deactivate the buttons on the unit
(except for on/off) for preventing misoperation, such as child mischief.
Hold down
(stop/square black button)
on the unit for more than 5 seconds."LOCKED" appears in the front panel display.
The child lock function is activated and the buttons on the unit are locked. (You can operate the system by using the remote control.)
To cancel, hold down
(stop/square black button)
for more than 5 seconds until "UNLOCK" appears in the front panel display.

Presumably you can see the fixings that hold it? But they are not standard screws? In which case they could be "tamper proof" screws. I would search Amazon for Tamper Proof screwdrivers and screws to see if any match what you are trying to remove.
If your television only has one HDMI port it is 20 years out of date. You would need some sort of HDMI hub. Technology moves on and Smart TVs are Now and the Future in Ultra HD.
Or just swap between Fire Stick and DVD as you need them.

First you will need to unplug the AC power cord for you TV,if the problem still continues you will have to unplug your TV's power cord. The main lead from the outlet that it is plugged into.Then press and hold the TV's power button for about 2 minutes and release it,plug the power cord back into the outlet again.
