I get a red light then 3 beeps then an orange
Hello
There are tow possibilities for this fault. The first one is with its cooling fan. Check whether the fan works as soon as you switch on. It must turn ON as soon as the power is ON. Blinking Orange is an indication about this fault. According to you, your projector comes with red light and then beeps and the orange and finally haults.
Check the red light for its blinking time. [1] If it is in the order [one cycle (0.5seconds ON, 2.5seconds Off) - Denotes lamp cver error or lamp housing error _ [Replace the lamp cover of lamp housing correctly]
[2] 2 cycles (0.5 seconds On, 0.5 seconds Off) denotes the temperature error _[ The projector is overheated. Move the projector to a cooler location.
[3] 4 cycles (0.5 seconds On, 0.5 seconds Off) denotes Fan error. Check the fan.
[4 6 cycles ( 0.5 seconds On, 0.5 seconds Off) denotes Lamp error. Lamp fails to light up. Wait a full minute and turn ON again and check.
There is some fault with its cooling fan or lamp. The orange denotes the set comes to standby after detecting a fatal fault and give you a Beep sound. If the lamp inverter has damaged, this kind of fault will occur. Lamp will not light up, and projector will give you a fault indication both with sound and light.
Anyway, it needs a keen attention in service. OK

What does a solid red status light on a NEC VT676
This could be a number of things. When I encountered this problem it was simply a burned out lamp. If you have not checked that make sure you do that first. Also there is a safety feature on the projectors that will not let you turn the projector on until the lamp cover is back in place. You may also want to ensure that the filter door is securely in place. After you have done this try to power up the projector (it will take a few seconds for the lamp to warm up.) If the projector starts up, go to the menu and clear the lamp hours. These projectors have lamp life's that will expire after a certain amount of time, irregardless of the functionality of the bulb. Hope this helps you out. :)

NEC LT280 lamp error.
Hi,
This is a Common Error on these Models. How old the Lamp is?
Replace the Lamp. Most of the times, when Lamp is at fault, this would Happen.
If after replacement of Lamp, Problem persists, then we need to Inspect and Test Other Components or then, you could ring a Local Serviceman in your area.
Let me know, so that we could Proceed.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Power light is steady orange and lamp light is red
If the unit will not power up it sounds like you may have tripped the lamp timer. You will need the remote plug the unit in and hold down the menu button on the remote for 10 seconds. The red light should go off and the unit should fire up.
Thanks Projector Guy

Bright yellow
I can't imagine a setting that would cause this - It sound more like some sort of fault with the projector's blue LCD panel. (The image is created from a mix of red, green and blue light. If you loose the blue, everything will look yellow.)
Is it capable of showing any shades of blue?
Using any graphics or photo-editing software, create a solid blue image (R=0, G=0, B=255 in your colour settings) and if possible, display this full-screen. Is there any output from the projector at all when you do?
If not, it sounds like it need a professional repair.
