Unable to communicate between computer and printer

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow? ! question exclamation mark or a red X this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options also you can troubleshoot the device hope this helps

Right click on desktop > Properties > Settings. Adjust here. If the slider is grey'd out the drivers need to be re-installed in device manager.

How do i start in safe mode

  • If computer is on then turn off the computer and again turn on your computer and press the F8 key repeatedly from your keyboard. You must press F8 before the Windows logo appears. It will display the Advanced Boot Options screen.
  • From Advanced Boot Options screen, choose Safe Mode option then press Enter.
  • It will open your windows in safe mode.

My home computer has no sound

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the

(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the selected correct speaker settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it

if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the speaker volume icon system select adjust volume

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers select the appropriate speakers

from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check

the speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side

you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity

clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line or use a can of compressed air specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer

is it possible that it is trying to boot from a external drive? if there are any hard drives or pen drives plugged in, then try unplugging them and rebooting.hope that helps

Did Your Purchases Your ope wasrating System? or it was preloaded when you purchase your computer? If it was pre loaded then your serial number should be pasted on the top of your computer if it a desktop and backside if it is a Laptop.

I cannot move the icons around on my desktop computer. I have 'right-clicked' and made sure that the auto arrange and lock desktop icons options are NOT checked off. I cannot open jpegs witho

If its shared, are you logging in to user account or are you the administrator for the computer? The administrator account can add / remove rights for the others but locking desktop icons I haven't seen as an option. Try doing a system restore if there is a restore point available to a date before the problem started. No data is affected just settings and drivers and such
