How to activate windows 7?

HelloIf you have installed Windows 7 but you don\'t have a "product key" which is 5 blocks of 5 characters each separated by a hyphen. This is usually found on the packaging of the disk when you bought it, or if it was a download then the key would have been emailed to you separately. If the computer came with Windows 7 installed on it then there will be a sticker on the computer somewhere (bottom for a laptop, side of case for a tower, etc) which will have this "product key" printed on it. If you cannot read the key you need to contact the builder of the machine with its serial number and full details of the machine and he should be able to give you the key.If you have the key in some place then make a note of it, click on the Start button, right click on My Computer, and click Properties. Near the bottom of the page is a section on the activation status of your computer. If it is activated, it will say so, if it isn\'t there will be a link to go to the activation wizard from which you an follow the instructions to activate your product,If you have none of these things then I would be very suspicious of the origin of your disk/programme, and I would think that it is a pirated copy. Please remember that you cannot own Windows of any sort. All you do is obtain a licence to use the product on a single computer - it will tell you if you have bought multiple licences - very unlikely - Using a licence on more than one computer is illegal, it constitutes software piracy and contravention of intellectual property rights.I will gladly help people activate a Windows product but only when they have their own product key. It sounds as if you haven\'t got one.Hope this clarifies the situation for you.Cheers

Intex pc webcam IT-105WC

Thanks for asking your question on Fixya. ;-)Here is the link for the download for Win XP and Vista driver.http://www.intextechnologies.com/webpages/download-driver.aspxIt may also work for Windows 7, but Windows 8 may have the drivers built in. Look down thru the list for PC webcam and click until you find your cam. click the cam entry and you will see the driver link drop down, click it (its a slow link, be patient). After you download the file, unzip it to a folder you can find (on the desktop, for instance). DO not connect the camera until the software tell you to so.

VPN in Microsoft Server 2003

The full form of VPN is Virtual Private Network. VPN gives extremely secure connections between private networks linked through the Internet. It allows remote computers to act as though they were on the same secure, local network. Allows you to be at home and access your company's computers in the same way as if you were sitting at work.

Almost impossible for someone to tap or interfere with data in the VPN tunnel. If you have VPN client software on a laptop, you can connect to your company from anywhere in the world. VPN goes between a computer and a network (client-to-server), or a LAN and a network using two routers (server-to-server). Each end of the connection is a VPN "endpoint", the connection between them is a "VPN tunnel".

When one end is a client, it means that computer is running VPN client software. You can use a virtual private network (VPN) to connect components to one network by using another network. VPN do this by "tunneling" through the Internet or another public network. With a VPN, connections across the public network can transfer data by using the routing infrastructure of the Internet, but to the user, the data seems to travel over a dedicated private link.

A VPN gives you the benefit of a dial-up connection to a dial-up server, plus the flexibility of an Internet connection. Using an Internet connection you can connect to resources all over the world. If you have a high-speed Internet connection at your computer and at your office, you can communicate with your office at full Internet speed. This is much faster than any dial-up connection that uses an analog modem.

VPNs use authenticated links to make sure that only authorized users can connect to your network, and they use encryption to make sure that others cannot intercept and cannot use data over the Internet. A Tunneling Protocol is a technology that helps make the transfer of information over the Internet more secure from one computer to another.

VPN technology also permits a corporation to connect to its branch offices or to other companies over a public network, such as the Internet, while helping to maintain secure communications. The VPN connection across the Internet logically operates as a dedicated wide area network (WAN) link.

VPN in Windows 2003 Server: You need a high speed Internet connection to configure and run VPN server. Two individual lan card must be present in a single system where you want to configure a VPN Server. The lan cards should ping each other. Also need a User which's Dial in allow access should be enable. Microsoft 2003 server two tunnelling protocols for a secure VPN connection, one is PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunnelling Protocol) which Provides data encryption using Microsoft Point-to-Point Encryption. The other is L2TP (Layer Two Tunnelling Protocol) which Provides data encryption, authentication, and integrity using IPSec.

Steps to create VPN Server in 2003 Server: At first I go to Start and point to Administrative Tools, then click Routing and Remote Access. Then I click the server icon that matches the local server name in the left panel of the console. If the Routing and Remote Access service was previously turn on, you may want to reconfigure the server.

To reconfigure the server Right-click the server object, and then click Disable Routing and Remote Access. Click yes to continue when you are prompted with an informational message. Then Right-click the server icon and then click configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access to start the Routing and Remote Access Server Setup Wizard. After that click Remote access (dial-up or VPN) to turn on remote computers to dial in or connect to this network through the Internet. Then I have Click to select VPN. In the VPN Connection window I click the network interface (Lan) which is connected to the Internet and go the IP Address Assignment window, then I click Automatically because there was present a DHCP server in network. However, if DHCP is not available, you must specify a range of static addresses.

If you use from a specified range of addresses, open the Address Range Assignment dialog box and Type the first IP address in the range of addresses that you want to use in the Start IP address box. Type the last IP address in the range in the End IP address box. Windows calculates the number of addresses automatically. After that I have accept the default setting of No, use Routing and Remote Access to authenticate connection request and finally Click Finish to turn on the Routing and Remote Access service and to configure the server as a Remote Access server.
For the remote access server to forward traffic properly inside your network, you must configure it as a router with either static routes or routing protocols, so that all of the locations in the intranet are reachable from the remote access server. It also need for security purpose.<SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Verdana','sans-serif

Everyone can can connect to my Remote desktop on

Allowing multiple access to a server desktop is a large security issue !

Port 80 is a common port used for a variety of applications so common access would be possible from multiple clients.

However games have a different set of ports that are required. Using port 80 for games is asking for problems.

You should set the security policy for the ports your game actually requires.
The firewall will also have to be configured.
Router configuration is another key area for running any form of game server again with the correct port forwarding set up for the game in question

I have a WHS server fo rbackup and media streaming and an SBS 2003 regular server for games (Halo) I followed the guide that came with the server component of the game to fully understand what was required for the ports etc.

Ideally you should also be on a fixed IP from your ISP too.
If your ISP does not allow servers you may find that high traffic is throttled by the ISP end.

With a 5mb x 800k high speed connection I can sustain 8 computers internal and another 10 external before lag issues kick in. My ISP does support servers and I am on a fixed IP with COGENT pipe as primary

Note also that I have to ensure than none of the internal computers are running bandwidth intensive apps such as torrents toolbars etc. All internal machines are also CLEAN with regular security scans and such as any machine having a security issue could be prone to extra bandwidth usage.

As you are running a server the info above should not be too confusing and easy to follow.

I am using XP.. net modem working case if take a

Windows Server tries to "gracefully" shutdown.
This implies that any "active" network-connections that use the modem will be signalled to "properly" close. This may take a while, waiting for the "other" end of the connection to respond.

However, if you have no active network-connection, then Windows does not need to "wait" for the "other" end of the connection to respond -- it can immediately close the "severed" connection.

NETDOM computername WIN-XIWEMB2ELW1.d2008.local /add:dc2008.d2008.local WIN-XIWEMB2ELW1.d2008.local
NETDOM numecomputer / add: dc2008.d2008.local
2wn0j91.jpg
2) Facem noul nume ca primar, apoi restartam serverul
NETDOM computername WIN-XIWEMB2ELW1.d2008.local /makeprimary:dc2008.d2008.local
34pmkab.jpg3) Ştergem vechiul nume:
NETDOM computername dc2008.d2008.local /remove:WIN-XIWEMB2ELW1.d2008.local
NETDOM numecomputer dc2008.d2008.local / elimina: WIN-XIWEMB2ELW1.d2008.local
2ps3frq.jpgSalut. Cu respect.
P.S. Insă vă consiliez de nu a redenumi niciodata numele controlerului de domeniu, doar în cazuri foarte şi foarte speciale.

Auto Logon in Windows 2003

Old but nevertheless good. The auto logon can be accomplished by means of Registry modifying, or by use of 3rd-party tools.
To configure auto logon through the Registry follow these steps:
  1. Open Registry Editor.
  2. In Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
  1. Create or modify the following value (REG_SZ):
DefaultUserName
and enter the exact username you'd like to use.
Then, create or modify the following value (REG_SZ):
DefaultPassword
and enter the exact password you'd like to use.
Note: The password is stored in clear text, allowing anyone with access to the registry (either locally or remotely) to see your password. Use with extreme caution!
Next, create or modify the following value (REG_SZ):
AutoAdminLogon
and enter a value of 1.
Finally, create or modify the following value (REG_SZ):
DefaultDomainName
and enter the domain name you wish to logon to.
Note: As always, before making changes to your registry you should always make sure you have a valid backup. In cases where you're supposed to delete or modify keys or values from the registry it is possible to first export that key or value(s) to a .REG file before performing the changes.
  1. Close Registry Editor and reboot the computer.
Note: As far as I know, this trick will NOT work if the user does not have a password. It will only work once, but for subsequent logons it will stop working.

Close Application at Once

When you're done working on your computer for the day, you probably close each open application one-by-one. If so, chances are that you've wished that you could close all you open applications at the same time

To do so, hold down the [Ctrl] key and click on each application button on your taskbar. When you do, you'll notice that each button remains selected. Once you've selected all the application buttons on the taskbar, right-click on any one of them and select the Close Group command from the shortcut menu. When you do, all your applications will close. If you have any application in which an open file hasn't yet been saved, that application will prompt you to save the file.
