Hi.
What you call 'password' is the network key that has been set for your local network.
It is a problem with the capital and with special characters. The problem depends both on the network key used and on Kindle's.
First :ensure that you are using the right network key for this router. If a different computer works with this key on same router, then it is the right one.
Second: try the following. It is a solution from
this site. The workaround will get rid of the capital problem with Kindle. I quote:
"Turn on kindly, bring up Wi-fi networks, tap in the network key from the label on the bottom of the router.
HERE
is the trick. When you press the Aa (large capital/small capital AA
key, to the right of the space bar, it actually does not go to uppercase
when typing in key, you have to use the shift arrow, (bottom left hand
corner of keypad).
Type in the key..., move to submit, it should connect fine".
Third: If that does not work, then the network key may include characters not supported by kindle. If possible access the router using a LAN cable, and set the router to a key made only by ciphers with no letter, and set the new key on kindle, PC etc. to connect.
Regards.
Ginko.
